He is bad at explaining things and you basically have to teacher yourself all of the material. However you can retake tests.

Sharma is very well respected and educated, but he is not so great at explaining items to a classroom. Instead of using practical teaching techniques in a classroom, he instead chooses to replace 'x' and 'y' with apples or characters in equation which results in more confusion. He also loves to waste class time with irrelevant stories.

Take this professor for any math class he is available to teach. Attend class, take notes, do the homework - and you're all set. His quizzes and tests are taken from homework assignments. He's very quirky which makes class entertaining when it needs to be. Best professor out there!

Terrible Grader. No chance for extra credit to pass. Proved that I understood the concepts and barely got any partial credit or points.

exams only have 5 questions leaving little room for mistakes. even if you tried but got it wrong, he'll give no credit (barely any partial credit given). There were 2 times when I had to leave early so I emailed him and he told me it was unacceptable, but many other students would sign in and leave. his teaching is good until it comes to exams

He's amazing. He spoon-feeds you calculus while engaging his students. He comes off as shy and reserved and he is respectful of every student. If you don't understand something in class, go to his office hours, he's even better one-on-one. He is the most enthusiastic professor and obviously loves his job. He's absolutely brilliant. Take if you can.

He's a super-genius, and most likely the smartest person you'll ever meet. He's also a bit awkward and introverted, and he's not the most exciting teacher you'll ever have (especially in the UNH math dept), but it's all good. His tests and quizzes are all taken directly from the homework he assigns; do your homework and you'll have no problems.

One of the best professors I've had in a long time. Very enthusiastic about his teaching, goes over any questions you may have. If he's not able to answer them in class, he'll give everyone the solution of the question asked. Quizzes and tests are based off the homework. Do the homework and you're golden.

Nice guy, but not a good teacher. He replaces variables with apples and cherries when things get "difficult," which just makes it more confusing. Exams are five problems worth 10 pts each. Highest grade in class on the first exam I took with him was a 35/50. His response to low grades is to "work harder." Nice person, but wouldn't take again.

He makes a very simple subject very comlicated. Calculus 3 is the easiest of all the calculus classes, but only if we could understand what the man is trying to teach us. Our book is useless for calculus 3, this class really requires a good proffesor who can explain it in lame-mans terms.

What a crazy mother! This guy may appear off his rocker but eventually youll get used to it. Sharma is a funny guy and he doesnt even know it. His teaching is hilarious and will keep you involved. Gives 3-4 quizzes and 2-3 tests along with the mastery test and final. All in all he is one of the best calc teachers! P.S. NEVER TAKE MEHLMAN!

Most enthusiastic teacher I've had. He drops the lowest quiz, gives partial credit, and if you can follow him very easy to learn from him. All questions on test/quiz/finals are from homeword problems you do those you should get an A. His natural way of teaching makes me laugh, even though I don't think he's trying to be funny.

He zones out for a second then the light bulb hits and he goes non-stop for 10 minutes. It's a joy to watch it happen because he gets so excited! Very clear teaching style. Sharma and Rosenhaus are the cream of the crop for math professors!!

It is amazing to see Dr. Sharma present Calculus as if he were telling a bedtime story to a small child. He's a great teacher who is more enthusiastic than any i've had
