I don't think I have ever seen a more confusing syllabus in my life. He teaches exactly from the book (but only from one of them... he makes you buy three). You could probably learn more by reading it yourself. Don't expect positive feedback if your project viewed in class... in fact, don't expect any feedback because he will only get to a few

I have taken 3 classes with Roger, they are all structured pretty much the same way. Stay on top of the syllabus and you will be okay. You can learn a lot form his classes and he is always willing to give students extra help if they need it. Roger is a great guy and I have enjoyed all of his classes.

I knew most of what he was teaching us already, but there some good stuff here and there. It was not a bad class, I actually wanted to go to class. Just make sure you keep looking at the schedules he gave you at beginning of the quarter.

Roger is a great guy. He knows what he is doing and is willing to help you at any time. He pushes for you to do you work, but that is what we are here to do. Everything is clealy stated in the beginning of the quarter, some students just choose to ignore it. I've taken 4 of his classes, and learned more with him than any other professor here.

If he likes you and you have any proficiency, you'll do well. He and Korn hated each other, too. I was before Lewis. Roger sees things his way and has a hard time seeing anyone else's. Pretty inflexible in that regard and really a fluke that he's got tenure... What are his credentials?

Roger's great. But you just have to be an editing nerd and deliver on your talk. He's not much of a shmoozer, like Lewis, the other main video guy. Basically, pick him or Lewis and go with it, cause both hate each other and each other's students.
