Comment:

He is very knowledgeable in his subjects and communicates the material clearly and effectively. He relies heavily on PowerPoints and makes them available to you online. Although he has strict requirements for how he wants assignments done, he makes sure to tell you what to expect and as long as you do what he tells you to do, you should be fine.

I had Dr. Harmon for History 102 and he was my best teacher of the semester. He made the class so easy and told little funny jokes. I would take his classes again if i could.

Comment:

He is a cool guy, always able to help, but he is so strict. If you are not a history major or you don't like history find someone to help you working on your studyguide because you wouldn't really know how to write the answer he expected. He post the slides in canvas, highly recommend taking notes.

Comment:

Harmon was a great person, he could lecture off the top of his head and never needed the powerpoint. However, that's about the only positive. He didn't make clear what he wanted on our essay quizzes until after they were graded and told us what we did wrong. There was also not enough assignments to justify our grade. Nice guy, just hard to follow.

Think how he does or you'll have a very hard time getting good grade. Seriously wish he would give homework. DOES NOT like when people get confused/have questions. He gives study guides that are ridiculous. If don't get an A or B on tests he's disappointed although he basically sets up his students to do badly on his tests. Be careful with laptop!

Attendance is vital, tests are extremely hard. Tons of memorizing and lectures are long and can be boring. He has a dry sense of humor but is a hard teacher to read. DO NOT interrupt while he is talking. Electronics are usually banned by mid-semester. Take lots of notes and fast.

He was very intelligent and could lecture off the top of his head. He had a good sense of humor and always tried to help his students. He wanted to make sure we did well in his class. He gave out a lot of extra credit and no outside of class assignments. I would definitely recommend him.

Attendenace is vital for both grades and b/c he doesn't really test out of the book.If you skip, you'll be lost. He's pretty flexible with due dates and making up tests. If you need help he's willing to take time to help after class. Lectures can be pretty boring if you don't like history.

His class is pretty boring if you aren't that in to history, but he is a cool guy. He seems intimidating at first, but he has a dry sense of humor and is really cool about letting you make up tests. I liked his class, but attendance is vital!!

he is a really nice guy, and cares about the subject---he's kind of funny too. it's hard to know what to write down from his lectures b/c he doesn't write anything down. however, he has good test reviews, and it is an overall easy class. i wuold take him again

Is a great teacher. Knows so much information and tries to get people to get exicted about history. Really understands history of America. Love this teacher
