Comment:
Way too much homework for non-chem majors. Her grading scale on tests promotes failure, and she is a very unfair grader. I highly recommend finding a different professor.

Horrible class. Thinks we are all chemistry majors. ALWAYS SMIRKING AND NOT FUNNY. Always on the lookout for an HV. While she is willing to help I had to get tutors and outside help just to stay afloat.

She likes to think she is funny but really isn't. Don't expect to leave anytime before 4 on labs. She has no problem with keeping you in there forever. Her tests are not extremely hard but she is REALLY nit picky.

Professor Mabrouk is very knowledgeable about the subject, but be prepared to deal with her moody attitude. I hope that she does not continue to ask students to do CLE's. (cooperative group exercises) Horrible. Plain and simple..this was a very hard class to take in the summer, especially with her expectations.

Her lab is booooring. However, her quizes are easy and you can go to her for help before a lab report is due. She'll basically do it for you. Requires a little effort, but nothing that my past lab teachers required.

All her notes are on-line. You print them off then highlight the stuff as you go over them in class. Never crack the CHEM book, but just study the notes pretty well and you'll do just fine. Test are pretty challanging if you try to just slip by. Each test requires a good couple of hours studying.

Stay away from her lab!! It was harder than my actual lecture class. She spends over an hour in the classroom, so we were always pressed for time when it came to the actual lab work. I would rather sit guard at Sophomore Gate in January for 2 hours than go to her lab.

Good professor, knows her stuff, does what she can to make organic palatable. She doesn't hesitate to stick you on the tests and requires out of class group work that takes up even more time. She is fairly lenient, but I sat a lot of punishments for skipping class. She's as good a professor as any for Organic Chemistry.

While she's difficult, she knows how to teach the material and genuinely cares for her students. She should take over for Blanton.

Great Teacher. While the class is tough, she is very skilled in teaching it. She will do all she can to help people out. She is one of the two best teachers i have ever had. Much better than Blanton first semester.
