Comment:

He's a good person, but a bad professor. He doesn't explain anything or keep track of your grades. No study guide for exams, just a cheat sheet. The only upside is that he's funny. He barely taught us anything and his exams were insanely difficult. If you have to take him, be diligent and make sure you can self-study!

75% Of time he says bang bang bang . 25% of time spends 50mins to 1 hr on 1 hw problem even on exam review days and yet he gets upset at certain students of why they are failing .

Spends 50 min to 1 hr on 1 hw problem , if you need help with it next class period . The labs are pointless and irrelevant to exams . He gets mad at you and discourages you always that you are not passing the class if you fail the first exam . How unprofessional. Spends 75% class time saying bam bam , 25 % of 1 problem of hw for 1 hr.

he is a funny teacher, But youre basically left to fend for yourself. Hed go over problems and just say BAM BAM BAM and not even explain it. If you dont ask questions, hell just move on. Theres no study guide BTW but There is a front and back cheat sheet. Also, beware of pop quizzes. Would not recommend for Math71.

Currently taking his Math71 class but I am planning to with drawl. He spends most of class going over homework. Spent 50 minutes on one problem when we were suppose to be reviewing for class. His lectures are entertaining and I can tell he is a sweet person but he is not a good professor. Test heavy and doesn't really teach.

I love Professor Ky! He was really good at explaining statistics and if you don't understand anything, he is willing to help you. Tests and quizzes were open notes and open textbook, as long as you show up to class and take good notes, you'll get an A! He's also a really kind professor that cares about his students. Definitely take his class.

If you do bad on one midterm exam, he will always discourage you and remind you in his office hours that " you are not passing the class". He makes mistakes on lecture whenever we spot and fixes it, but when he makes mistakes on midterm exams answers and thinks its the right answer when its actually wrong, he will not believe the class. Stay away

I had him for Calc1. His teaching is not that great. He pretty slow and takes too long on homework problems. In my first midterm he actually graded one problem as incorrect even though it was right. He wont change it because of cheating policies so check your tests before you leave class. Expect to self teach yourself. He had trouble teaching areas

Teck was a mediocre teacher for my Calc 1 class. He spends half of the class going over homework problems, sometimes even takes 20 mins on one. Consequently, he doesn't fully cover all the material forcing me to self teach it myself. If you try to give him feedback he calls you out in class and gets mad, refusing to see his mistakes. BAD TEACHER!!

he's the best professor ive had . Even though he sometimes made mistake cause of aging, he's very hilarious with his 'BANG' joke and so on lol. I would love to attend his lecture again. And for alot of homework? Bruh i took a 25hours/week job and still able to finish all of his homework while maintaining an A

When the class and I told him on the 2nd midterm exam , he made a mistake on one of the problems and his answer was not right , he did not listen to us nor did he believe us of his mistake he made, yet he only listens and believes us on the mistakes he makes on his problems during lectures.

The only 1 lab that we had in spring 2019 was pretty useless and did not help us prepare for exams . Also if you do bad on the first exam , he will treat you as if you are a bad student . When you come to his office hours to ask questions about exam , he will always discourages you and reminds that you are not passing . Avoid him at all costs .

Avoid him at all costs. Just because a student does bad on 1 midterm exam that does not mean when they go to office to his office , he should start to discourage them and think they are bad student. He does not reply to any of his students emails at all whenever they have questions and concerns. He always makes a mistake in his own problem in lec.

Best Stats teacher ever! I am horrible at math (and I hate it) but bc of prof Teck, I understand it and I get why it's important to know. Homework is due on test days and exams are open note/open book. He tells you what's going to be on the test so take good notes and u will do well. He is also friendly, funny, and wants his students to succeed

Comment:

Patient, respectful, helpful, good lectures, hw collected on day of exams, hilarious, flexible, and understanding. Very easy to pass if your willing to meet him halfway by showing up to classes, taking notes, and doing the he. If you don't understand something just ask, he's more than willing to help. Definitely would recommend him.

He goes at a slow pace, but you have to ask clarifying questions that may not even be answered thoroughly. You have to keep track of your own grade - we never used Canvas. He goes over difficult homework problems and is a sweet person, but he deflects any inquiries about your grades. Because of this, the class cost me an A. Highly disorganized.

Ky is really good teacher because he is respectful, will review the homework if you need help, help you on his own time, grades on the curve, allows open book quiz in Statistics class, if your are a dsp student he will save the notes for you in the end all the time, is very funny, and has a good sense of humor.

Do not take this class unless you are good at taking tests. Homework, classwork, projects are worth about 30 while tests are worth 300 and finals is 200. I dont know how anyone can see this as a fair grade. Basically all of your hard work is for nothing unless you do good solely on tests and exams.
