To add to my tags: lots of homework, NOT accessible outside of class, extremely opinionated, unclear grading criteria, in uneducated in technology (old school), lecture heavy. Good things include the optional 1 test per semester, lots of debate, you can skip(but you better read).

She makes you get in groups a lot so be prepared to speak to others. Mandatory workshop day because some students didn't know MLA Format. For a Humanities class there are easier Profs

Awesome prof I loved every minute of her ancient classical humanities class. She makes it fun and makes it interesting and LOVES to hear students stories as well, I recommend Prof Pyle to anyone. Lots of reading and busy work with journals but makes it easy to learn if you do your work

So, I've taken four classes with her in both English and Humanities! That should tell you a) she's fair b) she's interesting c) she is smart d) she wants to hear your thoughts. Honestly, if I could, I would take every class I needed with her. She's cool, so be nice to her :)

I read through her comments and the positive ones I completely agree with. The negatives ones are ridiculous and unfair. First, she double-majored in English and Humanities so she is wicked smart--I've taken both subjects with her. Second, she is funny and likes all her students. Be nice, man. Karma? (She'll teach you about it ;)

She's one of the best teacher's I've ever had. Makes a boring and dry subject alot of fun. Your grade is based off of two in class writings, two journals a research project and participation and attendance. No tests, quizzes, mid-terms or finals. She's awsum and pretty cute as well. Take Her!

I've had her twice. I failed the first time, but that was because of my attendance. If you show up 3/4's of the time you can catch everything happening in class. The journals seem tedious, but are probably the easiest thing about the class and help boost your grade. She teaches with enthusiasm that keeps you interested. And by the way she's HOT!!!

Has an infectious energy and excitement for the subject. She obviously, enjoys teaching. Journal entry every week. Not tough, but, you'll write more than you did in Eng I. She's tough on grading them as well, as if it were an English class. Fun class discussions, easy to get a decent grade if you just do the work.

She is the best professor I have ever had. She is so funny and interesting. She teaches so well and she knows what she is talking about. If you think writing a jounal every class is hard, then you are lazy. She works with you, and helps you with what you need. Just do your work, and you'll be fine.

Great Professor, i signed up for her medieval humanities next semester too, easy class if you do all the journals and attend class daily, very interesting if you like learing about other cultures! Good experience, she makes everyone laugh with her ditziness! Highly recommend!

She's fascinating, so keep in touch with her after your semester with her. Before taking her Ancient Humanities class, I had never had a class in my life where I've have more freedom to pursue my interests: she always gave more than one prompt for essays and for presentations we were able to cover any aspect of any ancient civilization.

This is one of the best teachers Ive ever had, I took her for a summer that was 3hrs long and we were never there for more then 2hrs. She is very clear and lectures are fun and very understandable. She goes over the book so if you read youll understand it. No tests or quizzes just 2 4page essays, 4 1paragraph inclass essays, and final 5para essay.
