Therese is awesome! There is a lot of work in this class so make sure that you plan accordingly. There is a short paper every week that is P/F and a midterm and final essay that are longer and more hardly graded. I highly recommend this class if you like writing.

Therese Edwards is the most woke professor I've ever had and it was awesome. She's super nice and really works for her students best interest. Her class does have a lot of assignments, but as long as you just get them done you'll be fine - most of them are pass/fail.

Hands down to the best inspirational professor in LMU! Professor Therese is amazing, she really cares for her students and she's always there for them. She gives good feedback. Time past so fast in her class you can never get bored. I wish I had her for all my comm classes! You must take a class with her! I am glad that I took my capstone with her!

Edwards is really cool, she's very nice and super funny! However, there is a lot of work in this class. There are 5 disinformation papers, an argumentation assignment, 6 debates ( although one does not count), and little random assignments. Make sure she likes you, the debates become easier to prepare for as time goes on.

One of the most happy, energetic, empathetic, inspiring teachers I've had in my entire educational career (about 4 years). She impressed me immediately with how quickly she can articulate herself with so much clarity. She told us to not focus on the grade because she wants you to actually learn. I felt inspired to always do my best. TAKE HER CLASS

MY FAVORITE TEACHER AT THIS SCHOOL. She will go out of her way to make sure what she expects of you is clear. My debate partner and I called her the night before our first debate and she helped us so much. The first class she seems like the scariest human being you'll ever meet but she is so helpful and loves her students. ABSOLUTELY TAKE HER!

Therese is hilarious and extremely nice. She is also very open and no topic is off limits in that class. She cares deeply about her students' learning, more so than staying "appropriate". She is very helpful both outside and inside class. There is no book, only debates and short papers every week. I learned a lot about a wide range of issues.

Therese is the BEST! She is one of the most genuine, hilarious, and interesting people I know and is truly a pleasure to spend time with. She's INCREDIBLY helpful in and out of class and students will benefit from anytime spent with her. By the end of the class she feels like a very close friend. this class is hard, 6 debates, 8 papers, big final debate...can be overwhelming but it is manageable. she works with you to help you and wants you to succeed. is hilarious and could be a stand up comedian. i love her, one of my best profs yet. TAKE THIS CLASS (unless you want a debate class with no work-cuz this class is not easy)

The coolest teacher by far at LMU, but if you expect to learn anything about public speaking, you will be disappointed. Debates are fun and hard work but be prepared. None of the material has anything to do with public speaking but EVERYTHING to do with LIFE! Be outgoing and she will love you.

Great class, learned a lot. Ms. Edwards not only helped us immensely, but she made it interesting. Even if you just go to class to listen to her lectures, you will enjoy yourself (but participate to learn). No textbook. Homework was to watch documentaries and write on them, not difficult. I highly recommend taking her.
