Did not show up for class one day and he called me to put me on speaker phone in front of the whole class. I was definitely skipping class that day and he asked me how long until I got to class they were going to wait for me. Made it to class in 15 minutes and got a standing ovation as I walked in the door LOL. 10/10 would take any class of his.

Dr Clipson is an amazing professor. His lectures teach you life lessons that help you become a better leader; he inspires you to build self confidence. Class is fun and you will love his anecdotes and stories. There are "celebrations" and assignments and participation is a must. Expect group discussions, some reading assignments and presentations.

One of the best professors I've ever had. He's more than an instructor - he challenges you to think. Some assignments are a bit ambiguous, but that's by design. And while he's a blast and loves to give out A's, he also expects you to come to class and participate. It's definitely not a blowoff class, but honestly, you'll look forward to going.

Dr. Clipson was the most influential teacher I have ever had at SFA. I learned so much from his lectures and he never failed to make the entire class laugh everyday. He shows so much passion for what he does and his love is to teach students and to make a positive impact in their lives. You need to take his class! Business major or not!

Class is laid back. Textbook is like $3. Fun, interesting class. Very helpful for all types of public speaking. Lots of Impromptu speeches. You will definitely improve your speaking skills by the end of the semester. It's best if you go every class period, you're much more likely to get an A. Clipson's pretty entertaining. Take this class.

Dr. Clipson is the best teacher by far at Stephen F. Austin. Even if you aren't a business major you should take this class! It helps with LIFE! Dr. Clipson is a genuine, wonderful person who cares about everyone! You will miss out if you don't take a Clipson class!

This has been one of my favorite classes since I started college. Dr. Clipson knows his stuff and really makes learning interesting. He does not use traditional teaching styles, but I learned more from him than my other classes. I do not fear public speaking as much as I did before I took this class. Loved his 'celebrations', or tests.

Excellent! As SFA101 is a requirement to get into the school, this should be a requirement to exit the school. You really don't realize what you are learning until the last day. Life lessons you WILL take on with you and use. Very good course and well put together. Thank you Dr. Clipson! Very interesting man and shares many life experiences.

Great teacher, may seem like a waste of time but you learn a lot more than you think. Being comfortable in front of people is a big lesson for the class. The first 3 or so weeks are mostly getting to know each other and it helps. I've never felt closer to class mates or a prof. The first celebration is very hard. STUDY THE CHAPTER OUTLINES!
