Comment:
This professor is really subjective about everything that he teaches- it's not study as much as his opinion. The class isn't miserably hard, but he's hard to understand and really rude. His tests were completely ridiculous because they were so subjective. It's just a really frustrating class to take.

Easy A. Go to class TAKE NOTES and you'll be fine. His exams are based on the notes. In class he goes over everything you don't even have to read the books. I definitely did not and I got an A. He's from Africa and is proud of it so you'll learn a lot about it.. Don't worry he won't test you over it. The best advice I can give you is TAKE NOTES.

Dr. Kiogora gives me headaches daily. He doesn't follow the syllabus and gives you no notice of schedule changes, he holds class late every day to take attendance at the END, computer illiterate. This isn't a philosophy class, no matter how bad he wants it to be. Only take humanities with him if you're interested in African studies. Grading sucks.

Professor Kiogora definitely makes you think his class is going to be amazing, but after one exam you'll wish you never met him. His "opinion" based questions are really all based on HIS opinion, and he will not take your view for anything. He is very unfair in his initial grading, and if he likes you you'll MAYBE get a B. Not recommend him to any1

Dr. Kiogora's class is an easy A. His lectures are interesting, though his accent takes a bit of getting used to. Only negative is he makes his own tests and his language barriers make the questsions hard to comprehend at times. I would reccommend him to anyone who needed and easy credit.

Very, very easy class once you get to know his accent, which only takes a couple days. All you have to do is listen and keep up with the readings, which are not bad at all. I think it's funny that most of the people saying he is hard to understand are apparently illiterate.

Professor Kiogora is the best instructor from Kenya I have ever met. Until I took his course in Humanities, I never thought learning about Kenya could be so utterly fascinating. All his lectures concerning his home village just outside of Nairobi, Kenya were astounding! Have I mentioned Kenya yet? Well, he sure will. About 146 times a semester.

He is a horrible teacher. He will not respond to emails and he will not accept your views. His tests are difficult and his accent is unbearable. He does not even know how to work a computer. Dont take him!

He is awful. So unhelpful and grades subjectively. Also make sure you check your test grades each time because he cannot do basic math skills.

I loved Kiogora. His accent is sometimes kind of hard to understand, but if you really listen and pay attention to his powerpoints, you will get a good grade. I didn't even have a textbook for the whole semester and I got an A!

Kiogora is a sweetheart! He so nice and passionate about his course! I will take him again if given the chance. There are a few small assignments and a few tests as well as 1 book that we had to read which I really enjoyed. I got an A in the class even though I felt I deserved a B at most. He turns attendance into FinAid so be careful about missing

Yes, he is a little hard to understand at first, but you get use to him. His class is easy! All you really have to do is have the abitity to think. That's all he really wants you to do anyway.

I liked his class. Yes, he is hard to understand at times, so sit up front. After awhile you get used to his accent and understand what he says. Reading assignments are not that bad. Most of them can be sparknoted. Tests are easy if you take notes everyday and are in class. Double check your final grade though. He also lets you drop a test grade!

I would not take him as a humanities professor. He is very hard to understand and can never stay on a topic for more then five minutes. He has no business teaching and should just retire now.

Very difficult accent. You also have to keep on him about your test scores. I received one test back in which he graded me a 63. Upon looking at my test, I had only missed 6 questions worth about 2 points apiece. I had to confront him about it to get my grad raised to the correct score of an 87. He also speaks philosophically, but fails terribly.

I had him for HUM 124. He is hard to understand, he does not let anyone with an opinion different than his speak, and he makes unreasonable reading assignments (200 pg book in 2 days). He is an interesting man to listen to because he has done so much, but I would not suggest taking a class by him.
