There's no doubt that Dr. Huber is a very tough professor, but his class isn't impossible like everyone makes it seem. He provides you with multiple resources to succeed. As long as you keep up with the reading and study the directed figures, you'll be fine on tests. Labs and recitations are challenging, but directly relate to course material.

His lectures do not follow the textbook and you have to remember the tiniest details for the tests. He was teaching BioChem in his Bio2 class. However, if you take him look out for these keywords, they will not disappoint: Fructose, Platelets, hydrangeas, and enthalpy.

Honestly it's already difficult material and dr giver made it 100x worse. You will not pass by just listening to lectures and studying power points. Basically the power points are useless and I had to read every detail of the book and watch countless khan academy videos just to barely get a B. Extremely tough tests on material he didn't cover.

Organization of material is sporadic/hard to keep up with. Labs/recitations are on the tests. Not nearly information on the powerpoints to reflect everything you have to remember. Goes fast in lecture, is patronizing if you ask questions. Start studying 2-3 weeks ahead. Don't take him for bio 2 at the same time as ochem 1.

Dr. Huber is very nice but his lectures are boring and the tests are hard unless you are good at memorizing info. If he taught more interestingly it would help with understanding the class but he kind of just reads powerpoints. His lab and recitations are too unrelated to the lectures, like he wants you to learn entire new topics randomly.

Great guy, and a fun class. You learn a lot, but it is in an exciting manner. I wish everyone could take him, because not only is it an easy grade, it is a fun class. Look over the powerpoints for a few minutes before each test, and you will do great. Mainly multiple choice, and very obvious short answers. :)

Ok everyone, I do not know how much easier a professor could get. Seriously, I think he is one of the easiest on campus. If you do not get an A, something is wrong!!! All you have to do is pay a moderate amount of attention, and you will get that A!

Dr. Huber is by far one of the best, and easiest, professors at Mercer University. If you want the easiest BIO class possible, take him! Just write down what he says will be on the test, and you will come out with nothing less than an A! He is one of the most straight forward biology teachers at Mercer! STRONGLY SUGGEST!! A+

Dr. Huber is an incredible professor. He is straight forward, easy to understand, and very willing to help all his students however he can. I definitely suggest him for all of your biology classes. Really awesome professor but man are his tests hard! Be ready to know every single detail about every biological concept you go over. Know every slide in the slideshow by heart, know every step in a cycle, know every graph, every chart and every lab. If you have the memory of an elephant and study 5 hours a day, you might ace the tests! Haha

Awesome professor, but the hardest in my opinion! Uses "stories" as lectures (not fairy tale stories gone biology, lol, NO!!!); take his class if you're willing to put EXCEPTIONAL effort for this course. You will learn a lot, but you must learn to prioritize to get the grades you want. Outside lab work requires a lot of time, too. Good luck!
