Jones makes this class very relaxed. He is a must-take for honors and his class is an easy A! If you keep up with the readings you'll be able to get full participation points and do well on the papers. He posts PPT slides on Sakai so you don't have to scramble to take notes.

Hands down, Dr. Jones is the BEST lecturer I have ever had at Loyola. I have never had a lecture that was so fluid and interesting to pay attention to; however, his exams are pretty challenging. He really asks for specifics, but as long as you pay attention in class, take good notes, and RECORD all lectures, you'll pass the class. Would take again.

This was the easiest class I've ever taken. I barely put effort into the papers, exams and final project and received 100% on everything. He does take attendance but you can skip class and not miss anything. We got out at least 30 minutes early on several occasions. He is a very sweet guy.

Get to know him so that he knows your name because he can be moody to people he doesnt like. Dont ever skip class and take good notes! Dont procrastinate to study because theres a lot of material on each test. The lab practicals are hard but if you google the tissues and look at lots of different pictures of them, you will be prepared.

Dr. Jones is a must take for the Honors Science and Society requirement!! He is so easy. You read three books. All the essays are minimum of 2 pages and as long as you write something intelligible you'll get A's. He essentially gives you the exam questions in the study guide, and the last three weeks of class are presentations. 10/10

Awesome man--makes histo fun to learn and he's a great lecturer. Long exams (85 MC) that are pretty difficult. Very specific. Everyone seems to do worse on them than they thought. Lab is very laid back, come if you want and leave when you want. Lab exams difficult because everything in histology looks alike!!

Professor Jones has a great personality but when it comes to anatomy, take someone else. He has 6 pop quizzes and his exams are very difficult. His final was also cumulative. Hes not very leinient when it comes to curving exams or disputing a test question, so get ready to study. I will say that his lectures are crystal clear though.

Jones is an amazing lecturer, he is very clear and the information he gives is fascinating. Just make sure to constantly be reviewing your notes, as he gives 6 unannounced quizzes throughout the semester. Make sure you don't skip class!! Not only is there the possibility of a quiz, but you'll be pretty lost during the next lecture.

Dr. Jones is great. He knows his stuff & his lectures are clear. The material itself is fascinating; he does a good job of explaining everything. You can tell he is a veteran teacher with a lot of experience. He can have wicked mood swings, making him intimidating at times but he's a great teacher. Just do your part. Do readings and prepare 4tests

He can definitely be condescending but his lectures are CRYSTAL CLEAR. You have to record and listen to all the lectures before his exams and then just memorize your notes and his powerpoints. He's not very approachable but it doesn't really matter if you just record lectures. Thats what I did and I got an A both semesters. DOABLE AND FAIR!!

If you listen to the lectures and make the material meaningful to you, you will get a lot out of this class. It is very doable. Just dedicate an hour of your day after lecture to listening to the recording and taking good notes! This class is actually fun, and Dr. Jones is an excellent professor. Use the textbook for clarity and email him questions

DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. His exams are extremely hard and unclear. I studied so hard for every exam and always got a C. Thank goodness for the labs or I wouldn't have passed. The final? Impossible. And he talks so fast you have no idea what he is talking about. His powerpoints are so messy. I recorded his lecture from front row. Pointless.

What a brilliant man! Lectures are crystal clear. Exams are very long, yes, but come STRAIGHT from his lecturespower points. I suggest recording every lecture and going back and listening before exams. Probably my favorite biology course I've taken at Loyola! Take him! You won't regret it!

I am currently taking H&F II with Professor Jones. He is definitely a very smart guy with a lot of knowledge in anatomy, but his class is just so complicated that he expects you to know EVERYTHING for the test. 2 tests with 100 questions...a final with 200 question (I feel like I am taking the ACT again) wish me luck on the final tomorrow.

Not a terribly difficult class. There definitely is a lot of material to learn, but my biggest issue was his wording during exams causing a lot of confusion. Not a great lecturer, but hey what can you do?

The class itself is incredibly detailed, and he literally does not stop talking the entire lecture, but with weekly review of material and extra effort before exams, it is doable. Quizzes force you to keep up, and he puts in a few extra credit ones at the end to help your grade. I didn't record lectures but wish I did. Exams based on lecturesppts.

Not an approachable or particularly helpful professor - somewhat condescending. He continuously lectures in class so you MUST take notes or record them. Difficult to follow and hard to understand sometimes. He expects you to know all material backwards and forwards, so you have to study ALL the time. Made the class unenjoyable which was unfortunate

Jones is a very passionate professor. His lectures are extremely clear, but he rarely stops talking to give you the chance to take notes on everything he says. Exams require a lot of studying and memorization. Definitely doable if you put the time in. I would spend at least two-three days preparing. There are 2 exams and a final.

Easily the best bio course I've taken at Loyola. Jones really knows his stuff, and is very helpful if you need clarification. Be sure to take VERY good notes in his lectures and don't skip class. Do not really need the book, but it can be helpful. He's a great lecturer and makes concepts very clear, just make sure to memorize the details!
