Comment:
I thought Dr. Schultz did a great job of teaching Social Psych when I had him. I learned a lot and was not burdened with tons of mindless homework. There is a little bit from the books that needs to be known for the tests, but most of what you need is from the lectures.

READ the book! Half of the questions are based on lecture, half on the book. If you do not agree with a test answer, argue it; he may see your side and give you credit.

i found that the there was a disconnect between in-class material and actual exams: everything seems like an absolute no-brainer until you have the test in front of you. it is not enough to just know terms and theories, you must know how to apply EVERYTHING. put extra effort into the application papers - they will save you!

GREAT teacher! This course isn't the funnest, but he teaches it in a way that students can understand, and is very approachable if you need help. I'd definitely recommend him for psych stats!

Great stats in psychology teacher. Helps to have taken stats before. Four tests and final. Final is optional if you do well on 4 tests. Do the homework and go to class and you'll do well.

The class is really interesting..he doesn't make attendance mandatory but he does give notes and doesn't post them online so he kinda does make you go to class but you don't have any penalties if you don't attend. Really study for the tests...they were kinda difficult but if you study, you should be fine. He curves the tests too.

Both classes was a great prof. - enthusiastic and makes material fun even though his class sizes are bigger (b/c he's a popular prof). (He's very cute - makes getting up for an 8 am class worth it...)

Straightforward in his teaching and understanding on a personal level. His lectures are applicable to real life situations and he usually makes them interesting (except for his recorded lecture). Put effort into the essays, they require thought.

He is an awesome teacher; very enthusiastic about teaching. He knows his stuff and is there for help if you need him. His two TA's do alot of the grading and they are very hard on papers, if you go to them for help beforehand they often mark some of the things they told you to change wrong.

tests are very difficult to get an A, most likely due to the fact that his assistants wrote many questions... if he is doing the class and grading himself, you'll probably do better, but the assistants grade too hard and are nit-picky
