One of the legends. 3 Exams and 1 Final, no homework, just notes and lectures every time. Makes sure you learn everything and his tests are hilarious. Sadly he said he will be retiring this semester at UAH, he is one of the few 5/5 profs.

Comment:

UAH is losing a great professor at the end of this semester. Sadly, this was Dr. Wilhite's last semester teaching, so this review won't mean much. I just wanted to leave him a good review and let it be known that he is an amazing professor and taught me macro like no one else could. Also, he's hilarious.

Mr. Al Wilhite is by far the best professor I have had at UAH. I went back to get my business degree after completing my BSME, so I have had numerous professors from this college. Mr. Wilhite explains the concept of economics in the most clear way and will go above and beyond to make sure everyone in the class understands it fully. Recommend 110%

Great teacher and very passionate. Lectures are very clear and he is just an all around great educator. Does love a good trick question. Great sense of humor.

I am terrible at Econ, but I learned so much in this class. He is a great lecturer. He records his lectures and puts them on Canvas so you can go back and view them, along with additional practice problems for your benefit. I highly recommend not taking this course during the summer; you need a full semester. Dont panic on the exams, breathe!

Sit down kids, let me learn you a thing about Al Wilhite. He is by far my favourite professor so far at UAH. Not only were his lectures very entertaining, he is hilarious! If you aren't understanding a topic he will explain it in depth and make sure you really understand. His tests are quite tricky (ALL CUMULATIVE) so be sure to attend PASS!!!

Dr. Wilhite is really passionate about economics and teaches this class as if he is preparing you to be an economist. Not to scare you but you need to pay attention and take notes. If you work in the class and study you'll be fine. Use pass or student success center you'll pass even easier.

Wilhite is a great professor and knows his subject well. Very heavy lecturing, made me want to take a nap every lecture. The key to this class is simple: pay attention, take notes, and study before tests. He gives four tests for ECN 142. Gave lots of opportunities for easy, give-me extra credit points. Go to the PASS sessions if you want an A.

I thought it was a difficult class, but he makes it doable. He was very helpful throughout the semester. You have to come to class, it's once a week. He gives homework at the end of each class. If you miss a class, get the notes, because it walks you through the homework. He's also very helpful with the final project, but START EARLY.

By far one of the best Economics professors at UAH - he knows his stuff and can explain it amazingly well. I took him over the summer and he did not have homework assignments but if you take notes and pay attention in class you will do just fine.

Course in a nutshell: use tools provided to THINK and solve problems related to managerial economics. I don't have a math-based background, but was able to be successful by paying attention, taking notes, reading the chapters, doing the homework, and visiting the prof once outside of class re the project. I liked this course better than expected.

I've attended several universities and taken courses in many different fields and Dr. Wilhite is one of the best educators I have ever encountered. He teaches to the theory of the subject in such a way that you can apply it to any problem you encounter. His lectures are interesting and inspiring! Hightly Reccomend taking his course.

BY FAR MY FAVORITE TEACHER!!!! I've decided to minor in Economics partly due to this teachers influence. He is SUPER chill and easy going, and if i could take all of my econ classes with him I would. Seriously, take this teacher!

He is very excellent. He does not use any fancy technology, therefore you must go to class to keep up. He is easy-going and takes time to explain concepts, but don't let that throw you off because you must study to do well on the midterm and final. Do the homework. Take more notes than what he writes on the board. The project isn't too bad.

Not the easiest class, but by far not the hardest. You must go to class to understand anything. Does not use the book at all. Test can be super easy if you know what you're doing, but super confusing if you don't know what you're doing. I definitely recommend.

May be good teacher for under Grad based on his same Subject teaching expertise.But for Posy graduate student when you look back he just goes through "ONLY" mathematical problems,never explains theoretical part of any.He seems very easy going but NOT at all.Very tricky and gradings are unacceptable.Just concentrate on his class and take notes.
