Mr. longmuir is funny, his lectures are boring its amazingly hard to get a perfect score on the lab but his tests are fair. He wants you to pass, so do the homework and you will be fine.

More than half of the class dropped. Many are giving up. His comments are schrewd. He got upset with people's test results. His lectures are hard to follow. He thinks that Statistics should be commmon sense and "...should be fairly easy". Don't take him, especially if math is your weakness. I like to learn during any lectures as well as reading the text. He's the worst math teacher I ever had in college.

He's now teaching at Las Positas &comments back from 2005 are still true. Half of the class still do drop, usually after the first 2 tests. Still complains&gets upset about question asked during class. Still unclear and disorganized. It's hard to talk him and ask questions. Alan has the qualities of a teachers aide compared to a PROFESSOR.

Umm..i don't know who actually gave this guy a good rating..but it sounds like they were talking about the wrong person. This teacher seriously can't teach. His lectures drag and drag..Half of the time when hes doing equations, he gets the wrong answers and his tests are hard! Got A's in all my other classes and a C in his. DON'T take this class.

His lectures are scattered. At diiferent times, he has been disorganized and unable to recall concepts. He was not aware that we had student software until later. He usually complains about people's homework and projects. He treats the class like high school.

He appeared funny. When he is teaching, he is cracking joke which is amazing for a math teacher. When he sees that things are getting gloomy in the class, he will throw a joke and put everybody at ease and makes sure you understand things before you all leave. He is good.

You could not find a better math teacher, Mr. Longmuir breaks the problem down so that you are sure to catch on.
