Sweetest lady with the coolest accent (I hang onto her every word). However, be prepared for A LOT of Holocaust material (Most of my class was depressed by the end of the semester). Get the novels EARLY, read them, and participate in class discussion to earn an easy A.

Prof Overvold is such a sweet lady! She genuinely enjoys teaching French. She has the most adorable Belgian accent and her enunciation is so clear that even though she speaks mainly French in class its easy to understand her. Her tests are pretty straight forward its either you know the info or you don't. Highly recommend!

The class is pretty easy if you read the books and pay attention during "discussions" although she does most of the discussing. The work load was a lot less than other classes, and the subject matter and books are actually interesting. Overvold is a great professor and I definitely recommend the class.

Comment:
Dr Overvold is obviously a kind, intelligent person, and her classes are easy. However, I don't know if she is used to conducting a literature class---we spent far too much time on every book and class discussions ended up in the hands of a very few people. But she may be very different as a French professor than she is as a literature professor.

Mme. Overvold is a lovely teacher. She is very refined and goes out of her way to get to know each of us individually. She also is very understanding when personal problems come between the student and school. She is one of the best teachers I have ever had!

Professor Overvold is very nice. She is very easy to talk to and likes to help you understand things. It is hard to really let all of the information sink in because there is just so much to learn in so little time for this class.

I found Overvold extremely UNhelpful. She never handed out worksheets and never called on people in class. She seems like a nice lady personally, but teaching wise I did not learn a thing. Maybe it is just me, but if you are a visual learner who likes to be engaged in class, do not take her classes.

Dr. O is a very cool Professor. I didn't have a good impression of her when I entered the course but she turned out to a great professor. I am thinking of taking a class I already got an A in just because she is teaching it. See ya in 301

Very nice. The difficulty was high, mainly b/c it was a demanding, writing intensive grammar course. She made it interesting though.Open to questions and willing to help you outside of class- but she'll be super late showing up- I guess its a Belgian thing

Francophone Lit focus Rwanda. A very powerful class. She is adorable with a very cute Belgian accent, very serious about her message. Doesn't like slackers, so go to class. And do the reading. For this class the reading was very intense, but good.
