This has easily been my favorite class at this school. Ken is excellent at representing fairly the ideas of every philosopher studied, and provides his own stories to supplement learning. You need to learn how to take notes, but it is very enjoyable, with reasonable grading.

Great class and professor. Took an otherwise boring class and made it interesting with jokes and personal insight. Would recommend it to anybody. Class consists 4 papers and 3 pop quizzes. If you take good notes, then writing the papers is very easy as you can use notes as guideline for your paper.

Decent class. Not the best, not the worst. 3 papers and 4 pop quizzes on the reading make up the grade. Kind of a tough grader but nothing that is ridiculous. He talks, that is about it for an hour in a half. Sit in the back and you can fall asleep no problem. He is a spitter though... try to avoid the front row. :)

I thought this class would be fun because I enjoy thinking about ethics. I did not enjoy this class at all and it was a pain to sit though an hour and forty minutes. Only a few times there was a movie to watch, other than that its always Ken talking for an hour and forty minutes with no powerpoints or anything to look at. Not very fun!

Fully recommended. Just a great guy and an excellent teacher/story teller. He clarifies the reading with thoughtful, engaging examples and humor, and barely lets slip his own agenda. After exploring all these philosophies, I really wonder about his own thoughts.

Great teacher. Read the book. 3 papers take the place of tests. You have to do a lot of thinking. He'll help you a lot if you go and see him! One of the best classes at OSU.

his class is 1 of my favorite classes that ive taken at osu. he's very engaging and knowledgeable. he tells great stories that keep your attention. the reading is pretty difficult but if you go to lectures, you'll be fine. the papers arent bad to write as long as you go to class and take good notes and write examples that he shares.

Was a decent professor until the last two weeks or so of the term. At that point, he started inserting his own personal views into his lectures. I paid to here other philosopher's idea, not his.

He was an awesome teacher, extremely funny and has the best stories. Keeps the students involved and awake. Actually gives students time to discuss things and is pretty laid back. Overall a very fun class to take, I would recommend to everyone.

Good professor, knowledgable, and helpful. The class was straight-forward. He's a really funny guy, and he tells the oddest stories about stumbling home from the bar or his mom smoking weed.
