Ann was great! I joined the class a little late in the semester so I missed the first video assignment we did but she only had me do 3. I really enjoyed doing the assignments even though they were a lot of work. This class is a great class to take for broadcast majors because it prepares you well for what to expect if you go into this field!

Ann is there for all of her students, she's understanding of your life outside of the classroom and will help you as much as she can in the classroom when it comes to story ideas. If you take Comm360 with anyone take it with Ann, I learned much more from her than I have anyone else so far.

This class really stressed me out, but Ann was probably the best professor I could've taken it with. She's very good about working with you to make sure you succeed. She also is lenient with deadlines sometimes. She's also funny.

Ann is great professor. She really shows that she cares for her students and wants them to be successful. Expect classwork, pretty essential stuff though. Her lectures are pretty long and boring but it is fine. Just make sure you put time and effort into packages and you'll do fine.

Ann is the best teacher I've ever had at PSU. She is like your mom away from school in class. She is really sarcastic but in a fun way. Her class is awesome and as long as you go to class and do your work, she'll like you. She's a tough grader but I learned a lot in her class.

Ann is easily one of the best professors I've had in my time at Penn State. She is helpful during the newscasts, but she's straight up with you when she needs to be. I've learned a lot about how a broadcast works from her class. My only complaint is that she could put grades into ANGEL a little faster. Overall, a great professor and a great person.

She teaches radio reporting much different than how it is in the real world. She made the class much more stressful than it had to be. Times have changed! Radio reporting isn't like this class at all.

Anyone who thinks this class was difficult really needs to find another major. This class was a joke. All you need to do is make two phone calls each class to get soundbytes and that amounts to up to 80/50 points per class. It is a joke and an easy A as long as you show up to every newscast. Definitely take it with Ann over Marea.

I had Ann as a professor at YSU in 1998-99. She was one of the best teachers I've had...period! Welcome to the real world people. You're not in grade school anymore. You're getting the easy version of a real life gig. She's a true producer. She says what she wants then you need to handle it! Now I produce multi-million $ films in LA. Thx Ann. -JJS

She is always late to class...Im not talking about 5 or 10 minutes. She gets there an hour late if not more. But the classroom door is open so you still have to get all you work done. She never grades on time so no one in her class knows what grade they have until the last week of school (finals week!!)

I thought she was pretty good in helping students find sources for stories. This particular class may be a pain, but when you leave her class, you'll know a lot more about the dos and don'ts of broadcasting and how it feels to get stories in under intense deadlines and producing a newscast.

Fun class, really laid back. It's close knit with less than 10 people in it so she can help you out a lot individually. I wasn't really interested in broadcast before this but it was fun.

After reading the previous posts, I thought I was in for it. And after our first newscast I though I was screwed. But you get used to it. Ann is like Bill Parcells--she'll tell you like it is and values students who show consistent effort. This class will test your responsibility--if you put in the time, you'll be rewarded. Take it--you can.

Ann is very honest with students, when you screw up, she'll let you know, and you will learn from that. If you're having trouble, go and talk to her, she'll work something out with you if you make the effort. She's a great prof, keeps a casual classroom atmosphere, and gives a lot of examples of what to do/not do. FYI - VERY time consuming class.

Honestly, from reading this before I had Ann, I thought she was going to make my life hell. But I actually REALLY enjoy her class. If you respect her and listen to what she has to say, you can learn a lot from her. She is an awesome lady. Don't be afraid to ask for help. She grades a lil tough but she gets you ready for real life.

So she may be a little impatient and not seem to care but that's the business. If you need a babysitter to help you do your work, you're in the wrong major! Her assignments are fair and she does a lot for her students when they respect her. A tough grader but willing to help. Take her class!
