Jasons class is bar none the best I have attended in college. Class participation was highly encouraged, all opinions were welcomed, and he is FUNNY, which makes any class better. Semper, Mr. LaRose

To my favorite professor. Keep up the great work of student interest. Congrats on your beauties. Even though I slacked, and missed two classed ended up with, not a perfect grade. You've been one of the top seven influential speakers the 21st century. I found that Oak Ridge report,no lemon poppy seed bread to go with the party.

Jason was one of the best teachers that I had at GCC. Yeah, he doesn't stick to the syllabus, but that's what makes his classes interesting. Instead of listening to a boring lecture from the text we would have discussions about current political issues & events. Great teacher, take his courses if you can!

Jason is a great professor. He keeps everybody interested and involved in discussions. He is fairly biased and sometimes gets into small arguments with students but isn't vindictive or angry about it. We read a chapter each week and had a quiz on it. He gives a midterm paper and the final besides that. Definitely take his classes.

he was incredibly unclear, rarely showed up to class, completely off lecture topic most of the time, and only got through half of the syllabus. I really don't understand his grading system, it doesn't make much sense.

I took Intl Pol & kept up with the readings unlike the rest of the class. He had an odd way of grading weekly quizzes that favored slackers. Later it turned out we were using the wrong textbook the whole time so added an extra 20 points to all final grades- except me, I worked my butt off and got an A-. The math doesn't add up. Arrogant personality

What a joke! This guy sat back and lived it up in Brazil while collecting a paycheck; presumably laughing all the way to the bank as the students learned zilch. Literally, there were ten quizzes, one book, and ZERO instruction. I learned nothing whatsoever.

This course was taught online, with Larose in Brazil. Rarely, if ever, participated in discussion, other than to complain about lack of participation. Offered no insights into anything. Seemed really disinterested in the class, and more interested in whatever it is he is doing in Brazil. HUGE waste of time & money. And it is REQUIRED. GCC is awful.

Before taking Jason's class, I was interested in politics, but not to the extent that I am now. Because of Jason, I will be moving on to a four year college to study POLSCI full time. He is the absolute best instructor I've ever had the honor of being taught by. He is SO enthusiastic about the material, he really gets you excited to learn. And HOT!

Liked his open minded teaching style. I thought he was a little too lenient with the slackers though. Would have liked that as a younger student. Highly recommend his online class.

Jason really knows his stuff. He has an informal and loose style to his lectures allowing for class discussion and comments by students. Unfortunately he is moving to Brazil after the fall 2007 semester. He really inspired me to be more actively involved in local and national politics even if it feels like I don't have any impact.

Jason is engaging in every thing he does. I have seen students bored to tears of the subject- suddenly become overwhelmingly interested. There is a reason why it's hard to get through the textbook in his class, it's because students become so engaged that they go off on tangent debates which can be good or bad, depending on your preference.

Jason is an amazing professor. He is so enthusiastic about his lectures (if you can even call them that) you can't help but get into them. He even makes shy ones wanna get all involved. He has given me a passion for politics. Am changing my schedule around next semester to take another of his classes.

Great class. Great subject matters and relating the reading to actual life situations. Has a story for everything, and will repeat them over and over, but, hey, at least they're good stories. He definitely made me much more interested in and aware of politics in my everyday life. Total cutie, too... but that's just a bonus.
