She is a supportive and excellent teacher. Her Youtube video is easy to follow and insightful. Her rating system is really good; you could actually drop the worst quiz in the end, which is very helpful for the overall mark. Speaking of quiz and tests, be prepared for a few weird questions like error type,other than that it's pretty straight forward

Comment:

Dawson is a very knowledgable and easy to understand since she's a doctor, but you have to put great amount of time to study and to ask questions frequently. She's like if students understand, she would not say more. Tests are difficult because it's hard to predict the test patterns. We also had a simple group work at the end but not effective.

She is a good instructor , most of quizes are MC,each Assignment is not hard , but she explains the requirment isn't clear. She marks the exam and HW quiet moderate. If you get the passpaper, you will get a hight mark. I got a A- in this class.

You have to be well prepared before coming to the class because reading the book is better than listening to her! since all she cares is her riding club and "Where is my coffee!?" & "Gotta get more coffee!" man, she is really kind, but indeed very sucks, not recommanded for a teacher, rather a farmer...

She is very helpful: answering your questions during office hours; arranging appointments if you couldn't make it during her office hours; replying your emails within 12 hours. Although 2nd quiz was a little bit hard, 1st quiz, midterm and final were so easy. Do tasks yourself, listen to her in class,then you can be the top student and get A+, too

She's a really nice teacher. Different from others CSCI teachers, you don't have to memorize the power points but to understand them. CSCI 101 is a tough course, so she tries her best to explain the topics. You have to go prepared to classes as she will only explain examples of programs in class

She just reads the powerpoints. Offers no insight into the topic at hand. Why even bother coming to class as you can just read the text book! Awful for help, just reads the answer to your questions from the textbook.
