Comment:

April is a wonderful teacher. While there are no study guides for exams everything you need to know is in her lectures and the vocab lists. A and P is a hard class and many people don't succeed the first time but with April's help it is achievable. I would definitely take her again.

Comment:

I took professor Rottman my 2nd time taking A&P. While the class is very difficult, she made a world of a difference. She tells you exactly what she expects from you. I learned so much more the second time around & i truly enjoyed the class thanks to her! There are exams almost every other week so study daily & you will do fine!

Really good lectures and goes over most material pretty well. Very long, dense lectures though so be ready to write down a lot of info. Also make time for studying because there is quite a bit of vocab and disorders youll have to memorize and exams are full of short answer questions. Its a challenging class so be ready to really work for the grade

I loved this professor. She is a tough grader, and you will have to study every day, but she is very clear and easy to follow. You don't get a study guide for tests, and you need to understand the material very well, because she will ask a lot of scenario questions, but she is an excellent teacher, and I would most definitely take her again

I couldn't have asked for a better professor to teach this course. It's a lot of material and very intense, but her lectures are very thorough and prepare you well for the exams as well as future classes. It requires plenty of study time outside of class, but she is very helpful to answer any questions in person or via email.

Professor Rottman is the BEST professor Ive ever had. She genuinely cares about her students succeeding, but wont just give you an A; you have to work for it, but just like you have to work, she also will to make sure shes working hard and giving the most help she can give. Super knowledable and made lectures fun. Love her so much!

I'm not really good at Biology, but this professor didn't really help it. Had lots of exams that I studied for a long time and I would still receive a non satisfying grade. Atleast the homework made it up so I could pass the course.

What an amazing professor. Had to retake this class to get a better grade. Boy did she help me do better. She reviewed my essay questions, stayed after class to explain difficult concepts to me, was patient, hilarious, and she gave us extra credit :). Def my favorite professor of all time!

She was always willing to meet students outside of class. She has a great sense of humor which helps during the longer lectures. She really knows her stuff. You must study a lot to do well in this class. Best BIO teacher I had at RVC!

I love that prof.R is clear in her expectations, good at explaining difficult concepts, & always happy to answer questions. It's evident that she wants her students to succeed & won't waste your time. She's very friendly yet professional at the same time. Warning though: I had to take this class 2x to get an A. There's so much content!

GREAT prof. Hands down best bio teacher I've ever had. Tough class. STUDY STUDY STUDY. Read purple sections in book, study notes, study A+P reveal, she's a great prof, but you have to earn your grade. Her sense of humor is awesome. It's a tough class, can't miss lectures or you'll get behind. Make studying part of who you are.... for real.

Mrs. Rottman was the best teacher that I have ever had. Her notes are very clear and are your study guide. She is very approachable and is always there to help you. You just have to ask her for help. She explains everything that she expects from you on day 1 and she is serious, She makes the class fun and makes you remember why you love anatomy.

My favorite professor at RVC. Her class isn't the easiest and you HAVE to study for the tests or you won't pass. She gives really good lectures that help you understnd material better. There were 6 exams, no quizzes, and weekly homework. Seems like a lot of homework but it's nothing too tough or time consuming. Some exams had extra credit too.

YOU HAVE TO GO TO CLASS. in order to fill in the notes, you have to go. Book is really only needed if you dont go to class, because everything she tests on is in the homework or the powerpoints. book also helps with diagrams on hw. well organized, and good, not boring, lectures. Really relatable.

One of the best profs ive had. Shes tough but if you stick with it, its not bad. just go to class and take good notes. make flashcards. she gives really good lectures and you can prints her powerpoints. id recommend her highly

Very good biology teacher! I loved her lectures. She takes time to explain the concepts and does a good job of doing so. Professor Rottman was always able to help me whenever I had questions about homework. Her tests are pretty tough, but if you study hard you will succeed!

April is one of my favorite professors I've had at RVC so far. She gives great, interesting lectures (love her humor). She is crystal clear on what she expects from students - show up for class, take notes, do the homework, and study for tests. No surprises. I would love to take her again for bio185, but have to go 281/282. HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!

I truly enjoyed Prof. Rottman's class. It is tough, and your grade is largely based on pop quizzes and tests, however, you will know more in the end. Go to class, study your notes and know body processes. After all, if you're going to be a nurse, the things she lays the groundwork for is imperative to know! I would take her again.

She is a wonderful teacher. She is very tough, but she will help you out as much as you put in the time for the class. This class you must study for everyday. The 2 lab exams were very tough. It would be easier to have multiple exams with less information. Her tests are tough, but once you know what she wants you can get the grade you want
