I don't understand the tough comments. He was dedicated, concise and willing to help students. He was not an easy grader, and you actually had to solve problems correctly to get credit for them, which is reasonable, though many complained.

I needed a C to graduate. I was in the Army and was deploying as soon as the semester was over. I needed my degree to get promoted. Dr. Gnepp did everything he could to get me to learn Trig. I sucked at Math...still do. He worked with me nights and during his office hours. I passed the final and earned a C for the course.

Completely worthless teacher. Doesn't answer any of your questions. Makes you buy his special Gnapp only textbook. Sucks. Only C I ever made. Folks were cheating on his in class test left and right, no calulators.

straight up a terrible person. doesn't understand that theorums really aren't needed anymore. i had him for half a semester and counldn't deal with it anymore and had to drop. was bad enough for me to go to the dean and get my money back. i told the dean that i shouldn't pay for that kind of terrible traching!!!!!

One of the worse teachers i have ever had, he discourages question, you cant even ask the person sitting next to you how to do a problem. Has a rediculous grading system, you cant have one grade below a 70, if you do and the rest are 100's you fail. He even called security on a student for asking a question

He has no alternative ways of teaching, it is his way or else. He needs to realize that now a days there are programs for everything and memorization of many theorems is not needed. It is hard enough to follow the theorems let alone memorize them. I have been to several tutors and they all say it is ridicuolous he has us memorizing things!

I really did not like this professor. In fact, he scared me. I found him to be too serious and condescending. It was hard to understand him, you really have to pay attention. And he can be awfully perceptive...not in a good way. And it may be hard to pass his class since there are only 3 tests. Try to avoid this professor.

He is very intelligent, and explains things well. He's tough though..you must keep up. He expects you to know math from your previous class without a refresher. If you pay attention and ask questions, you will definately learn. If you dont say anything when u dont understand, then you wont.

Dr. Gnepp, Thank you! I needed Trig for my A/S back in 1997 and you stayed late in your office on Christmas week to help me out! It was the hardest class I had ever taken and I suck at math, but you made me get myself through it! I have an MBA now and I was prepared the whole way because of you!

DONT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH HIM!!!!!!!!!!! The only reason why this class was semi-easy for me was because I already knew the material. He made the stuff that I already knew confuse me. If you take it with him, good luck staying awake or actually staying through the whole class.

Sigh... math teachers are not very clear-speaking people... none of them are. But that being said, I think Dr. Gnepp is VERY willing to help if you only take advantage of his office hours. Plus our school has tutors and tapes galore. Gnepp is not bad!
