He's really into the readings. He'll give you question sheets as busy work but they aren't really graded and he goes over every question in class before you need to turn it in. He's terrible at time management though. I took him in the summer and as a result we only had two weeks to read and discuss the last 2 books. Nice guy though

He's very opinionated. He grades pretty rough. He talks about the reading a lot because he wants to make sure you understand it but, as a result, you don't really have to read the material unless you need to write about it. Take notes during Art Discussions. He gives you a study guide before each big test and test questions are straight from it.

This guy is a tool. I don't recommend taking him, especially if you're not a very strong writer. The highest grade I ever saw in my class was an A-, and that was ONCE. He thinks he knows everything and doesn't let you express your own opinions. I tried to give my own "philosophy" and he indirectly told me I was wrong. Avoid him.

Knister knows his stuff... But he expects you to know what he thinks. Class discussions are rather limited because he presses his ideas on the class and does not let you argue your points.

Knister is a very wise man. He's been teaching a long time. If your not a fool you will learn a LOT from him He's very approachable and very understanding about things. He's a picky grader because he wants you to learn. He's very good at explaining why he grades how he does and lets you turn in a rough draft. Definately one of my favorite profs.

Kniester makes your brain numb. His quiet demeanor will put even the most hyper crackhead into a sleepy daze. If you think you're going to get an A from him, think again. Only Michael Crichton could get an A from him. Take Girard at all costs, or Weinstein.

I have to disagree with my peers. I thought he was a wonderful teacher and fair grader. He did tell a student to leave but that was after he was 15 minutes late daily, on an exam day. I didn't find him an impossible grader and he was always willing to go over my papers prior. He knows his stuff.

Not too bad. Grades decently, most things were a B and C for writing that that's my level. Knows the subjects well and goes into it very well. Some group projects are stupid, but he seems to grade leinient on those things.

Grades extremely hard even though it's a freshman class. Very strict grading and could care less if you pass or not. If you miss 3 classes you will be forced to fail and drop out, compliments Knister even when the class costs $1500

the HARDEST class ever. If he likes you he will take the time to help you, if not good luck. Very specific ideas of what papers should be, and extremely hard exams. Got a good grade and certainly felt that it was EARNED. lots of work.
