An excellent teacher. Very consice and knowledgable. Great stories about math, and good historical background. He cares about the students, a lot! Boring and blind, but one of the best teachers.

The most boring teacher I've ever had. Lame jokes and sense of humor compared to other prof. I was not fond of his teaching method at all. It may work for some, but not myself.

he is a boring prof yes..but he knows his stuff. He will help you no matter what time of day or how long. He will help until you understood the material. I liked him as a professor compared to one other professor of math! :P

Good teacher and a great guy. Don't take him to early in the morning because he is sometimes a little boring, but otherwise I didn't find it a problem.

Comment:

Compared to another BV math prof (who will go unnamed), Donath is pretty good. Classes can be hard to stay awake in, and DiffEq was hard, but overall it wasn't so bad. If he teaches something that "the other guy" teaches sometimes, TAKE IT FROM DONATH.

I had Big Ben for two classes. He will do anything you need, if you want to succeed. Granted, he can't see, and tells lame jokes. That's not what school is for. I'd say he cares more about his kids than any prof. Take Calc with Lanny Grigsby, and you won't mind a few boring jokes.
