As a professor, she is pretty scatter-brained and not incredibly informed on anything other than specifically what she talks about. She tends to use partisan examples which was somewhat obnoxious. Textbook is absolutely mandatory for quizes. Check your grades after she puts them in. Show up, take good notes, you'l do well.

Comment:

Dr. Mani is a nice woman. If you ask for help, she will help you. However, she is unclear on most assignments, and still expects you to do well. Test are worth 50% of your grade, and you have maybe 3 other grades with it. Basically, if you don't do well on the test you will fail.

Dr. Mani will assign things last minute, she is pretty scatterbrained and doesn't always keep her due dates and such. The people saying she is organized are probably referring to her power points and teaching style, because she will make a test the morning of the test and expect everyone to pass. I couldn't trust her study guide, tough class.

Lectures pretty interesting. online assignments not hard, can take them as much as you like. only 3 tests & the final. the tests are straight forward, read & study the reviews you'll do fine. She gives extra credit on the quizzes.

She is not clear at all with what she wants you to do and this course has about 2 weeks of her actually teaching, the rest of the semester is student power point presentations, do not suggest taking her. She is a terrible professor. So much work out of the classrooms, and her lectures dont help. She doesnt allow you to take notes you have to do all work on your own. Quizzes every class and tests are exteremely hard.

Cant miss more than 2 days. first 2 out of 3 exams were essay. no textbook. READ THE ASSIGNED READINGS FOR THE WEEK. she will have quiz almost every monday on some photocopied old article. usually 30 pages. ind and group presentation. 8 pager ind paper on that topic.

Boni Mani is not someone you can disagree with. She was openly insulting and rude all semester. For some of her classes she requires "texts" that she wrote and trust me this woman CANNOT write. Her books (and class) are redundant and ignorant. Boni Mani and her classes are completely useless and only drain students of their intelligence.

She is very scatter brained, unorganized and unclear. Her attendance policy is not as strict as she says, I missed lots of classes and kept my letter grade. It is easier to skip class and learn the material than going to class because she only talks to the students who suck up to her.

This chick is hardcore!!She hides her horns under her hair. I have had her for two classes. She forces group work, assigns homework @ last second. Her lectures are off topic, unorganized, and the point is hard to find! Her tests are wicked...off the wall questions. Plays favorites. You do get to watch movies in class though. Not a terrible deal.

Okay teacher, but very boring class. I really had no interest in the class so what are you gonna do? The tests are very hard...the class average was usually in the 70s. If you're into government, go for this class. If you're looking for an easy a or b, pass.

She CAN be boring, but if you go to class and take notes, then you should be fine. she gives study guides for the tests, but you got to make sure to STUDY!
