She is absolutely wonderful and deeply cares about making sure every student understands the material. She is always there for office hours and willing to meet and help many other times as well. Great teacher and helped me get one of my first good grades in math

Oblas is great. She is high spirited and eager to teach. The class has mandatory attendance, but if you are planning to skip it often you aren't going to last. If you miss something, go to her office hours, where she is even better at explaining the material in a very compact way. Usually, the portfolios were redundant, but the exams are easy.

Extremely helpful. I took this class because I SUCK at Math, and at first, I was confused, but is a piece of cake. Attendance is MANDATORY, which sucks A LOT. You don't understand a thing after missing. Go to her office hours if u dont understand, she will help you out. Very nice person. Test are exactly the same as practice test.

Oblas is an awesome teacher! I have no interest in math, but Interactive Mathematics completed my math requirement and it was a good class. She explains things very clearly and is eager to help. If you have a question, ask and she'll help you understand. A little notebook provides all the homeworks and assignments, the class is very organized.

AWESOME professor!! Definitely take a class with her. She is so nice and understanding! SUPER EASY course for those who aren't math fans (like me). Had a printed book, not a text so much cheaper but required. Labs are easy - go to her office hours and she'll give you the answers. All assignments are quick and easy! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Oblas is great! She wants students to do well and the way that the class is structured makes it so easy to understand. She'll work with you until you understand the material. Tests are very similar to practice tests. HW & Problems of the Week aren't difficult if you go to class and pay attention.

Oblas is such a great prof! She's super nice and cares that her students do well. If you go to her for extra help/information she'll basically give you answers. She strives to make sure her students succeed in her class. I only took her course to fulfill my math req, and I'm so glad I did - awesome class/prof!

Absolutely a great professor. If every teacher cared about their students like her, life would be a whole lot different. Very helpful with explaining the material, great teaching method for students who arent mathematically inclined. Easy to do well if you go to class. Completely recommend this class and professor!

SO easy. Anyone who doesn't really like math but needs the requirement should take this course with her. Like an hour per week of out of class work to type up portfolios and stuff, it frees up time for other classes. She's really nice too and it seemed like she helped out the people who needed it. Great stuff all the way around.

Class is VERY easy, and its hard to handle if your moderately competant in math, and are taking it to fulfill a requirement. But Oblas never loses patience, and is always enthusiastic. It's an easy A but you must show up to class because she doesn't teach out of a book.

To the person who said they met the dumbest people at NU while in this math class, get a clue. There is such a thing as a math learning disorder. Math doesn't come easily to some people. Oblas has to be one of the kindest Profs at NU and encouraged me to get tested for Dyscalcula. She's overall just a great lady and is willing to help you

I placed out of College level Calculus and took this class as an elective. I met some of the dumbest people at Northeastern while in this class. I could have taken the tests blind, high, ****, and with a gun to my head and still pulled off a 100 on every one. P.S.- The Camel POTW was awesome.
