If you like yoga, take this 2 credit class! It is run just like a real yoga class and is challenging enough where it isn't boring (esp. if you have experience). Just two, short, 1-2 page reflection papers due at midterm and finals time, and every student teaches the class a yoga pose at the end of the semester. Professor is excellent at yoga

She's very nice and means well. She's just all over the place and sometimes expects us to read her mind. She also makes you meditate every class. Some like this. I didn't. She's the only one who teaches this class so you have no choice. Just be warned she is annoying at times.

Awful teacher. Never explained any assignments thoroughly but she got defensive when you asked questions about them. Not a terribly hard class but she was not a fair grader (she graded group projects that were the exact same different for each student and never corrected her mistakes, even when confronted about them). She also makes you meditate.

TERRIBLE. I took her online. She was never clear of what she wanted done, and grades inconsistently. AVOID taking her, not worth the aggravation. The workload is also alot and VERY useless. I did alot of the work WITHOUT the books that were assigned. Also if SHE does NOT agree with what you said, your well constructed essay will get a 0.

She assigns so much work it seems impossible, but she accepts late work, and even though I calculated my average as a C she gave me an A-. I never knew what she expected, she never said how long essays should be, and she seemed to grade inconsistantly. She shouldn't be teaching future teachers -- unless the lesson is what not to do.

Most of what this professor does is on the online information system. Participants need to check this regularly. She is a fair grader and really wants her students to reflect on how they feel about most readings. She goes with the flow and encourages participation. If you can get used to her laid back attitude, you'll do fine.

WORST TEACHER EVER! Unrealistic expectations, unorganized. Lesson plan design is a joke. Never talked about the readings..don't bother w/books. 5 lessons plans, group project/presentation, portfolio, midterm. Schedule for assignments changed every week..couldn't keep up. DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU WANT TO LEARN! Shouldn't teach future educators.

how did bowman make someone cry? she's harmless and kind of an idiot, to tell you the truth. she doesn't ridicule anyone, but even if she did, why on earth would you take her seriously? she's like a stoned third grade art teacher. i never did the final paper, and then told her i handed it to her and that she gave me an A and she totally believed me

What most people are saying is not true. Bowman is a really good and understanding professor, and NO she does not make you cry or ridicule you. She is extremely easy in grading papers, and as long as you read and participate you'll do great.

She is a genuinely caring woman, but very unorganized. She assigns an excessive workload, especially for someone working full time as student teacher. She also had us meeting more than any other seminar professor. CRAZY.
