Had her for college writing one over the summer and at first it wasn't so bad. You have stuff do Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. My only problem with her as a online professor was she didn't give that good of feedback and when writing essays she was unclear on what she wanted. Maybe she gave better feedback in class, but not sure.

Comment:

Writing in the Public Sphere was a lot more interesting than I anticipated, and Professor Schauffler was a major part of that. She really takes a practical and holistic approach to grading, and will always allow chances for revision should a student mess up. There is a genuine emphasis on students interests and input. I totally recommend her!

Comment:

College Writing II with Charli is a great experience. She cares so much about the quality of the work and helping you get there. She doesn't crave you failing, is a paper writing EXPERT, and so knowledgeable on a ton of things and that's SO refreshing to have. Workload isn't bad and she's an easy grader. If you have the chance, take her!

If you don't take CW2 with Charli you're missing out!! She makes writing so painless and easy I actually enjoyed the class. She holds you to reasonable standards, always replies to emails quickly, and gives amazing feedback. I highly recommend her if you need a writing class!

Charli is truly the ideal college professor. She is so down-to-earth, genuine, understanding, and caring. There's no excuse not to do well. Her classes will make you think but at the same time are easy and simple to get through. She makes writing papers a breeze and gives great feedback for each step of the writing process. Take her!

First, I'd recommend taking any of her classes in person, as opposed to online, for clarity's sake. She's very personable and easy to talk to, so she's great to get to know. The best part of the class is paper topics are completely up to you. Turn in your essays early - she'll give them back to you to revise before the due date. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

You will learn so much in Charli's class. She is extremely helpful, very accessible and easy to reach, and gives great feedback. She clearly explains what she wants for each essay and lets you have a lot of freedom in what you want to write about. Facilitates some of the best class discussions I've ever seen. Will do anything in her power to help.

She makes a writing class the best it could be! She really wants to help and gives excellent pointers for each stage of your essays. Turn your papers in early so she can give you feedback before the due date! Her online class is one of the most organized I've ever taken.

One of the best professors I've ever had up to this point. She's extremely nice, helpful, and wants the best for her students. Though this class was delivered online, the instructions were unbelievably clear and she gave better feedback than anyone could have ever given in person. The community service project was difficult, but fun. Take her!

I loved this class! Charli is not only an amazing teacher, but a kind and interesting person to talk to. She gives a lot of solid feedback on graded papers, which she returns in a timely manner. She's very easygoing and helpful if you have questions. Only 4 major essays were assigned the entire semester, all very easily completed.

Charli is so lit. The class was amazing for discussion and wants to hear about everyone. She is super funny and laid back. Don't brush stuff off tho because she does grade regularly but gives amazing feedback. If you participate, it makes the class more fun.

Comment:

I took Dr. Schauffler for College Writing 2 online over the summer. The class expectations were made clear from day 1, and she was very thorough in making sure everybody knew what the criteria was for each assignment. There were 3 major papers that we wrote for the class, and of course some busy work, but that's every English class. Very helpful
