Dr. Cowell is an amazing professor! He is helpful, down to earth and fair. Make sure to learn everything he puts a star or more next too, you will definitely see it on the quizzes and tests. No homework but occasional worksheet assignments. Good luck!

Dr. Cowell is AMAZING!! I dropped a chem 4 class te semester prior to this, because I couldn't understand the teacher. Dr. C changed all that!! You have to study hard!!! But it's totally worth it! I recommend him 100%!!!!

Prof. Cowell is very smart and is clear and helpful... you're good as long as you take all his notes and STUDY STUDY STUDY. it's not an easy class. I got an A, but I worked my ass off for it. Good with answering questions via email too. I loved Prof. Cowell!

I like the way he teach. He gives you syllabus first day of class and he follows exactly as it says. I attended el camino college to taking some of prerequire classes(anat32, physio30, micro33, chem 21AB) for my graduate school and I would say he and Dr. Aasi are only teacher qualify as a professor. Very clear about everything and fair!!

Doc Cowell really likes his job and will make you work your ass off. He grades fair but he expects a lot of writing. His notes was my bible. He is hard, if you slack off you would not survive in his class, i studied 30hrs a week! and got an A. You have to be dedicated to studying and understanding the material. Get ready to lose your social life.

Cowell is nice and loves chem. He is so intelligent on the subject that he seems to have trouble making it easier for non-chem oriented people. Chem is a difficult subject, so it is not his fault. However, his notes on the board are all over the place and you can't listen to him while trying to figure out his messy notes. p.s.: get a huge notebook.

Professor Cowell is the best chemistry teacher ever. The material is hard, and you will not pass if you slack off. Copy his notes exactly, pay attention, and everything he "recommends" for you to do, such as practive problems, are not recommendations..you NEED to do it because that is most likely where he will get test questions from! He's the best

I had this professor for chem 4 2010. He is the best chem teacher EVER!!!!... it doesn't matter chem is your favorite or not, I'm pretty sure most of the student received an A because of his lectures and notes. WRITE EXACT NOTES HE WRITES ON THE BOARD AND STUDY and the result will be A++++. He should teach chem 1A 1B and all of the chem classes

Chem21B is the hardest class I have ever taken in my life. However, I study my butt off and so far I have an A in the class. You have to study everything he writes on the board and do all the practice problems he gives you and study the worksheets he gives you!! Know yourfunctional classes and groups! Take him for chem! He is the best!

Professor Cowell is a great teacher. He is very thorough with his lectures. He's very detailed when teaching the subject. If you pay attention, his lecures are easy to understand, and he'll answer any questions you have. He's also really nice and funny. Strongly recommend taking his class.

Dr. Cowell is very smart and teaches so that the students can clearly understand. Tutoring does help along with re-writing the lectures. If you attend class everyday and pay attention you should not have to much of a hard time. STUDY everything that he puts on the board!!

The key to success in any of Dr. Cowell's classes is DO WHAT DR. COWELL SAYS. If he says memorize this list of chemicals...go home, and memorize them. If he recommends doing certain problems in the book to study for your test...go do those problems. This class is no joke. You need to study a TON, but you will learn so much. Thanks Dr. C.

He teaches very clearly. He's very helpful. There's a quiz every week, and that helps a lot for your lecture exams. He gives out lots of examples, and he explains clearly. If you have never taken chemistry before, I recommend you to take his class.

Don't take this class lightly because he's a genius. For me, this was the hardest out of Anatomy, Physio, and Micro. But once you understand the concept you're good to go. If you don't understand it, ask him during his office hours and he'll make it sense; I guarantee it. That's how he helped me get a B in this class. Thanks Dr. Cowell.
