Professor Itzin is so awesome. He's so passionate about literature, and knows so much about each author. We only took a midterm, and wrote two papers, with one counting as our final exam grade. Expect to read a ton and write short responses every two-ish weeks. Class is very laid back, and he talks for most of it.

Comment:

Great professor and easy class. No tests, quizzes, or final, grade comes from short papers. Longest one was 3-4 pages. Don't bother with the textbook or the readings you don't need to getdo them. gave extra credit too. highly recommend!

Professor Itzin rocks. I was not excited to take a poetry course but he made it interesting and a class I actually looked forward to going to. He's super flexible and understanding too. It was a really easy course with a very interesting professor and I'd recommend it to anyone. He's awesome!

Took intro to Poetry Writing- it was a cake walk! One poem a week, says he "doesn't know how to grade poems" so just need to hand one in to pass. Also gives great feedback if you are trying to improve your writing. Only two really big assignments, which are easy as pie. Great class! I plan on taking the intermediate class from him, too.

Itzin is the nicest guy ever!! Very sweet, cracks jokes. I took Eng102 Service Learning with him which required 20 hours comm. service and he personally took people out to the nature center every saturday to do it. You would work for an hour and hed give you 4 hours. Love this guy!!

Professor Itzin is that absolute best English teacher I have ever had. He is extremely understanding and is not a difficult grader at all. He lets you rewrite your papers for a higher grade and you can even go into his office before you hand in the first one for him to proof read it and let you know what you have wrong. Definitely take him for 102.

Itzin is absolutely the man for ENG 102. =] Four easy papers (usually 2-3 pages, last paper ((which is your final)) is 5-6) in a semester, and he lets you re-write for higher grades. Loves to have class discussions and book talks. Go to plays or shows, he gives extra credit! Extremely helpful, kind, and sometimes a little crazy!

This guy is great! Very lenient on due dates and a pretty easy grader. He lets you rewrite any paper for a better grade and gives you plenty of time for assignments. Gives you his home phone number in case you need any help at all and brings in food sometimes. Has a pretty good sense of humor too! Definitely take this class with this guy! Got an A-

He is a very nice guy, very helpful and friendly. He likes his students very much. The class is fun, and some homework. 4 papers a semester and some other writing homework. He brings food to the class sometimes. If you will take the class with him, try to be active, then you will benefit from that.
