Nice guy, but grades super hard, and is in his own world. Talks the whole time and isn't very helpful at all. Would NOT take again.

I really enjoyed his lectures. If you are a english literature major than I highly suggest taking him at some point in your classes. His classes are basically lectures, but I found class flying by with the material we read. Sometimes he'll do group discussions but otherwise he'll lead. You must read. Easy grader imo but is firm on a few things.

He's a pretty good prof- tells you his grading system the first day and its pretty simple. He seems intimidating in class but if you meet with him he is super nice. His lectures can be a little too much at times but Romanticism is the best class class I've ever taken at Assumption. Would recommend to take him if you love to read and write.

Ugh. I'm not sure if it's my adviser's fault, mine or the teachers but I should have never taken this class without the intro into literature. I was lost the whole class. I did it online which made it more difficult. For a class like this I needed instruction not just timed assignments. I got my first B and I'm beside myself.

As much as I hate writing, I would definitely take this class again. Dr. Beyers was very clear and very helpful. Always there whenever I needed help. Very clear in class, and has good methods on making sure you understand what you have to do on your papers.

Professor Beyers is pretty cool, he lets you out of class early or perfectly on time. he doesn't beat around the bush and has a schedule of what every class will be like. he expects good quality writing in his essays but he's very fair

Professor Beyers is a pretty good English teacher. He is a stickler for grammar and sentencesparagraph structure. On the first day he gives his grading criteria and it's super simple. When he assigns his bi-weekly papers, he describes what he's looking for. a little intimidating at first but actually such an easy grader. Would highly recommend.

He gives short readings every class but it is easy. Biweekly essays that are two pages and he tells you what he wants. I didn't go to every class and I understood what was going on. pop quizzes on readings but they don't count for anything but attendance. class is recommended he is easy

This is the epitome of an English Comp. course. Weekly or biweekly papers with examples of reading in the mean time. If you include everything he's asking for in the paper and build off of the last ones written its easy to get A's on the papers. I definitely became a better writer after everything was done with.

A great Professor, HE is very intelligent and he knows how to get the the root of a reading, poem or story with his explanations. his papers were assigned weekly but they were do able. I always did very well on his papers. Participation in class REALLY helps your grade

Very strict on grammar and style of writing but yet he does not list that on his syllabus. I have always italicized the title of a book and got points taken off for doing so. I could pull out a hard-copy of the turabian style and defend my grammar. His essay questions are vague and sometimes hard to understand what he is asking.

Not very approachable in the classroom, but friendly when you approach him in his office. Willing to help but only if you make the effort, otherwise he doesn't care. His papers are pretty easy (at least they were for me) but i know some ppl who struggle. The fact that there is also a final exam that he doesn't mention once is aggravating as well.

I found the class easy, but people around me were doing poorly. The class was boring, but the assignments were interesting. Unless you are actually a good writer, I wouldn't take him, he will tear your papers apart. He is absolutely critical with grammar, spelling and sentence structure. PROOFREAD. He is hot and cold towards students.

Fantastic professor. One of the best going. Very dynamic, very interesting, VERY intelligent. He lets you know exactly what we wants, and if you heed his advice, you'll do fine. He expects a lot of you - but that's the point of college.

Dr.Beyers is an under-rated professor. He isn't super easy but his class is definitely not impossible. He gives a clear outline of what he looks for in a paper on the first day of class, and as long as you follow it your set. Really helpful when you ask him for extra guidance and even if he doesn't say so,he really does care about his students.

One of the hardest professors I've ever had here. He grades tough but does not explain why he gives the grades he gives. Absolutely the most boring professor obsessed with sex and thinks he's funny. I hated this class
