Comment:

Had Dr. Paul for a graduate class. Did not attend Mercer as an undergrad. Dr. Pauls class will make you learn the material, which some people won't like and doesn't necessarily make it easy. But if you are going to school to learn, he is the best I have had at Mercer.

Comment:

Come for the circuits, stay for the catchphrases. Often times hilarious things are said that you dare not laugh at before leaving. Dr. Paul is a good teacher;he wrote a textbook on circuits. You will do fine if you just do the homework. Be prepared for scolding if you do bad on a test (there are 6!), but praise if you do good. He's also a musician.

Dr. Paul is an interesting prof. He is very straight forward, however he gets very far ahead of himself. 4 example we are learning new material that isn't going to be on our next test....but two from now. He's a good teacher but i wish he would let the homework and lectures be the same, and not start new material until we have been tested on old

Go to class and know algebra. If you do those, you will get an A. If you go to the lab class you will get examples of what the tests are going to be. Not an easy A, but not hard if you do the homework and study.

Dr. Paul is one of the best professors that I've had. He is very straightfoward about what you need to know. His tests are based on the recitations, so there are no suprises there. Overall he is a great professor.

Tough love is not acceptable. I don't pay 20k a year to get humiliated if I don't know the right answer. This teacher is not there to teach - he is there for his own gratification and his grading is ridiculous. No partial credit, with emphasis on getting the right answer, not how you got there. Horrible teacher!

He is an okay professor and he knows what he is talking about. He is rather gruff both in and out of class. He is actually the first professor I have had here who was not at all helpful when I went by during his office hours. If you understand the material...he likes you. If, like me, you get confused about it...watch out!! he can be a real ass

If you dont keep up, he may get on your case when you ask for help, but only because he wants you to learn the material and study hard. Tough love. His tests are straight forward from the HW and he will give perfomance hints to help. He knows the material better than anyone, so if you want to learn hes the guy to take. BEST PROFESSOR IVE EVER HAD!

How can you rate this professor with that green face? Coolest class I have had at Mercer, just makes my day. Yeah it's hard stuff but you dont want to stress out in class. Have some fun, take it ease and that's what Dr. Paul is about.

Well, as a matter of fact i made a D.. Hmmmm... Any ways, i found that his tests did not require you to actually 'learn' anything. All that wa required was that you regurgatate the information he spat at you in the 'recitation'.

One of the best egr profs at Mercer. Majority of students who study make 100s on tests. At end of semester, he sets up the grading system so no one makes lower than a C. He looks at everyone's grade, then sets the grading scale based on that. Based on others performance, could make an A even with 84 or 85. If you can't do this, go be a lawyer.
