This man is one of the smartest people I have ever encountered. Having the opportunity to take his International Relations class was bar none the most educational course I have ever taken. I still use the information I attained from his class now that I am a graduate. He is a tough teacher but you WILL get a lot out of his class.

I love this class! Prof. Raabe is an incredible teacher. He is hilarious and amazingly interesting. He is not the easiest teacher ever, but the class is worth your time. I recommend him highly.

horrible teacher. lectures are completely unrelated to exam material. i went to him for help, but he turned me away and then failed me. spends the classes trying to impress students by being condescending and making himself seem important. this class single-handedly made me change my major to avoid people like him.

Invaluable Info! So much you can learn as long as you understand how to work with him. You should have thick skin anyway if you want to do anything with PoliSci. While he does say shocking things sometimes, he loves it if you counter argue him or get him to laugh. Get a study group in your class to make outline for texts but mostly lecture notes!!

Dr. Raabe may seem like he is a meany, but he is really a big old softy. He is intimidated by girls that speak their mind - use this to your advantage. You can get an A - you just have to prove yourself! Also - major bonus points if you read the NY Times everyday; I did in CLASS, and he didn't mind.

Ironically, some students go to class to learn, but Dr. Raabe comes to class to insult and belittle his students while regaling everyone with his amazingly intellectual pursuits. If you like IR, read the book. You won't learn anything by going to class.

Greetings fellow political science major and/or masochist (for you'd have to be either or both to take this class). Whatever you've heard about Raabe is true: He gives out C's like candy & ruins your GPA. Raabe is an awesome man and you should not go into class with a bad idea of him. he makes inappropriate **** jokes that are fantastic that ppl, particularly girls, take way too personally (yes i am a girl). he has so much intelligence in that head of his you just have to wait him out! def will take again for other class if i can.

As hard as everyone says, but you learn SO much in the end. I feel like I have a great foundation for my grad classes. I'm constantly refering to things I learned in Raabe's class. I recommend but keep in mind that his classes can reck perfectly nice gpa's

Raabe's lecures are rambling and funny, but always interesting. He definitely values original thought in his exams. Exam questions are sometimes a little obscure, but if you do the reading you shouldn't have a problem. He is always happy to talk during office hours.

Dr. Raabe's classes are tough, but he is one of my favorite professors. I found him to be extremely helpful and always willing to talk outside of class. While you don't always get good notes for the exams, his stories and lectures are always interesting.

I hated this class. Very hard. He reads the "ideal" essay after you get your bad grade back from him. The ideal essay is written by him and impossible to replicate... unless you have been studying the subject matter for 20+ years like he has. I am NOT a fan of Raabe. Pass on this one if you can.
