Hardly ever showed up to class. Difficult to understand. Leaves most of the work to incapable TA's who don't give much effort into making the concepts easier to understand. Fast paced. First midterm is easy and its downhill from there.

Pretty odd, as he would throw fits, then leave the class-someone to avoid if you don't have a thick skin. Dislikes verbose/lazy people. EECS31 was doable, thanks to TAs. The skills needed were well covered in class. Many students didn't show up though, so they missed out. If one genuinely made an effort, he/she was guaranteed a good grade.

Impossible to understand in person or in his videos. His videos are not clear and contain several mistakes. His TA's were very mean and unapproachable, and his tests were not fair at all considering what was taught. Overall not a mean person, but not much help in learning anything. If you take his class, it all depends on your TAs.

Do not listen to his TA's where they say they will add a point to your grade if you write good reviews about him. He is very funny when he does lecture, but unfortunately he lets the TAs lecture most of the time. This class is easy after watching the videos and even if you messed up on one of the labs, you can still get an A if you take all quizzes. This time Final Quiz was not optional, but all quizzes are easy, and open notes and book. Easy A class.

In my experience, this professor is a honest, decent man. He recorded videos for each assignment, which turned out to be very helpful. During lecture, he tends to talk about real life random stuff, which can be taken as wise advice if you are so inclined. Overall, I enjoy attending class. I seldom stop by the lab since I can code on my own.

i couldn't agree more. EECS31L/CSE31L only needs attending the labs. i got an A last year without even taking the optional final! i just went to the labs. the TA's will help you finish the job. take the course.
