Comment:

He is very honest on how he thinks people are going to do on certain sections, and very helpful when stuck on a lab. The class is mostly just labs, quizzes, and 2-3 assignments. Overall great teacher.

Comment:

He is a incredibly smart and realistic professor. Fair grading, good feedback, and interesting lectures. He's one of those people who I could listen to for hours on end. 260 isn't even a very interesting class, but he does a great job teaching it. I hope to get him for more classes in the future. Take him if you get the chance.

Great Professor. Knows his stuff, very helpful to students in lab and will answer questions during lecture with great explanation. He sometimes goes on tangents, but its very entertaining and interesting. Homework assignments make you think, but what else would you expect..

10/10 recommend him for any class. Sometimes can be hard to get a hold of him, but he is usually around. The assignments can be challenging, however he does a very good job at explaining the concepts and if you put the effort in you will do fine. I can't express enough, how much better you become after taking his classes.

Dr. Stevenson is easily the best professor I have ever had. This man is a genius and truly loves teaching his students. His clarity and ability to explain complex concepts is unmatched. He expects a lot of his students, but if you put the work in, you can get a good grade in the class.

Stevenson is your stereotypical college prof, but in a good way. He is very laid back but seems genuinely concerned that you actually understand the material. He is very forgetful and takes a long time to grade things, but he is one of the best lecturers I have had. A very good experience and I learned a lot. Be sure not to procrastinate too much.

This is the clearest, most helpful professor I have ever had. Period. Some of his assignments are harder for a lower level class, but they're doable and you learn a lot in one semester. He's very good at helping you understand the "why's" on everything CS, which helps the information stick much better. Go out of your way to take classes with him.

Stevenson is a GREAT teacher. He can code like there's no tomorrow. Extremely helpful and always around - will make sure you understand the concepts. If you're willing to work hard, he will be fair in just about all aspects of his class. TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN!

Great Prof! I've had him for 145, 146, 245, and am now in 255 with him (I'll rate that class when I'm done). He is very helpful in office hours and really wants to make sure everyone understands what's going on. You definitely need to stay on top of things, though. You can't slack off and still do well in his classes.

I've had Dr. Stevenson for three classes: 145,146,245 and taking 255 with him currently. He is really helpful and explains things until you understand them. If you apply yourself, he'll give you a ton of help. Awesome professor, take classes with him if you can.

I went into the course not having any previous programming knowledge and the course was very difficult. He seems straightforward enough but he could take a little slower pace. Someone should remind him that this course is an intro class. Is somewhat helpful.

Dr. Stevenson goes ridiculously fast. At the beginning of the semester, he told everyone that you didn't need any previous experience in programming. A lot of people were lost right away. I wanted to change my major the 2nd week of school. Don't take Stevenson if you've never programmed before. He teaches you AFTER you turn in your program. D-.
