Comment:

Some of these reviews made me not want to take this class but I took it anyway and did well. I didnt read the book and was able to get a A in the course. The class consist of a project, a midterm, final, and homework she never graded. She does a review the day before and as long as you study you should do well. Shes very understanding too.

Comment:

She's nice and definitely knows her stuff, but there are some people who just should not teach. She was late like every day, she was always unprepared, her lectures felt like forever, we'd spend long portions of class trying to get technology to work, she moved too quickly through slides, and she was a slow grader.

Comment:

Interesting rather unconventional class, had to take it for my major (anthropology.) Gives students leeway. Very sweet and friendly, not always 100% exciting, student has to be self-starting to get the most out of her class.

Linguistics: She knows her stuff, but cannot teach it well. All lectures and handouts. Tests are hard if you don't read, and even if you do, some say they are still hard. 2 test 30% each, 3 projects 10% each 10% attendence and participation. Hard class if youre taking it for English, not so much for comm disorder majors.

She is a great teacher. Very easy-going and willing to help, and never makes you feel stupid for asking a question. The class is very hard(linguistics) but she is straight forward as to what you need to know. A great lady!!
