Super nice guy, very willing to take extra time to explain things and answer any questions. Bought the text book, but never used it. Very Microsoft Excel driven class. Come to class and follow him as he works through the problems on Excel and you should be fine.

Hudgins was awesome. Very clear in his teaching methods, and seems very interested in his field. Learn to take good notes as he doesn't use powerpoint. Take good notes, pay attention, and come to class, and you are in for at least a B!

So easy. No textbook. All old quizzes and tests online to study from (the new ones are the exact same). He teaches everything clear. Just attend class, pay attention, and study. As long as you have a helpful T.A. (ie Alex Ufier) you will do fine if you need help. 4 quizzes, they drop the lowest one. I had a 96 quiz average and got a 99 on 1st test

If your sole aim is to make an A, take his class. If you would like to learn one single thing in the course of a semester-long class, stay far away. Hudgins actually comes across as stupid to his class, and after spending time with him, I don't think it's an act. What a waste of academic space.

I took ECON 1113 in Summer 2009. He is a very nice guy. His teaching style is very old-fashioned, however it works. Never buy textbooks, he use his own lectures and worksheets posted on D2L. He is very useful to all students. Exams are not hard, he gives curves to adjust your grade. I got an A. I will take his class in next semester. Take it guys!

Awkward teaching style but he is thorough and effective. Does not waste your time, you really have to go to all the classes. Gives you a tremendous amount of material to study and prepare for the tests, which are fair and graded generously for the most part (depending on the TA I would think, I got a generous TA). Would recommend.

Very clear lectures. Good professor. A little dorky, but easy multiple choice tests. Give tons of reviews. Cares about students. I'm taking him again for the third time next semester!

Fair teacher, very helpful. I didn't use a book the entire semester. He puts most of the material on D2L. However, the material is very confusing and in order to get a decent grade you'll have to attend every class. The tests are hard-pay attention to the way the problems are worded.

His class isn't too difficult. He explains things well to help you understand the material. He himself is a bit odd though. It isn't so much in a bad way; it is just very different. He makes bad jokes, but at least he tries. It is a good class though.

If you can stand how much of a dork he is, take this class, he gives so much help and as long as you go to class (I know, that part was hard for me, too) then A/B is inevitable.

I think he was a great teacher. He was very helpful and lets you write on your cheat/formula sheet. TA's do suck, try to find the one that speaks the clearest (hard to do). But he was a great teacher and the material is hard, he is not.

The lectures sometimes make me yawn, but that's because it's not the most interesting material. Nice guy and if you think you didn't get enough points on a test or quiz problem, just ask him and he'll most likely give you some back.

I failed the class. My main gripe was not with Dr. Hudgins but with the freaking TAs that couldn't speak english. It was a hard enough class without having to learn arabic to decipher what the heck was going on in discussion.
