Doc Mowry is a great teacher and one of the smartest people I have ever met. He talks a lot, but he's very entertaining and he will make you discuss things that you've never even thought about. Take his classes!

Doc is one of the nicest teachers you will ever meet. Yes, he likes talking, but most of what he has to say is very insightful. Sometimes it gets way over my head, but at least I know he knows what he's talking about. It's good to have a teacher that won't b.s. your class just b/c you're a freshman. He also tells jokes, albeit they are bad jokes.

i agree that he likes the sound of his voice, he talks a lot, and doesn't always listen, so there's a lot of repeating. still he's super interested in what he teaches and he always knows which questions to ask to really get u thinking.

LOVES the sound of his own voice. Can talk FOREVER. Occasionally will be exceedingly unhelpful and obscure, and sometimes will elaborate way too much about something completely unrelated to the topic.... He's nice, mostly, though.

Dr. Mowry just isn't a distinguished teaching professor, he is a mentor. He is a father figure for all of us in the Honors Program. To miss out on a class with Doc and to get to know him would be a sin.
