Prof. Cox is extremely nice and will do anything for her students. I had her in the Fall semester. Her essays are a bit of a pain but easy to get an A on. We watched tons of movies and always had to write papers on them so pay attention. Beware of the final exam. It is extremely tedious and long. However, I did well.

Comment:

Professor Cox is one of the best professors in the accounting department. She was very laid back but wants her students to succeed. I highly recommend taking a class with her. Expectations are clear, and exams were not too difficult.

Professor Cox is very sweet. She is really passionate about teaching her global experience class. She LOVES to show her class movies! You will watch movies, read a lot of books, and write papers on them. The topics are interesting and she is a fair grader for the most part. I would recommend her!

Had Professor Cox for The Global Experience, she's a very very sweet lady. You watch A LOT of movies, even says "if I could rename my course the global experience through film I would" 3-4 major papers, doing the readings and pay attention to the movie and you'll be fine even if you don't you'll pass

She doesn't know much about global events, but is eager to learn and quick to say when she's not quite sure what she's talking about. She has been teaching Elon 101 for a while so she has the curriculum pretty well mapped out. She is a really really sweet lady and a super easy grader on writing assignments. We also watched like 6 or 7 movies.

I would recommend avoiding her for Global Studies. She does not respond to emails and her assignments are very uninteresting and dry. Class lectures are very boring and often times you get the feeling you're not learning anything. She also assigns so much group work, which is awful because if you have a bad group you get bad grades.

Doesn't really care about attendance. VERY easy grader. 3 major papers, last one is on a book and VERY difficult. Lots of movies in class and POD lectures. Fair amount of homework on top of the 3 papers. No tests or quizzes. Extremely sweet lady and very approachable. definitely a must-have for Global Experience freshman year

The only people who don't get a good grade in this class are the ones who sleep through every class and are oblivious to life. She's straightforward, awesome, doesn't give you hard homework at all, super nice. Easy to approach whenever, take it

AMAZING teacher. Nicest lady ever. Readings are simple, can't remember her giving one quiz. Never have had a test either. A lot of movies and simple and interesting group activities during class. Flexible with absences if you talk to her. Papers consist of one page reflections. Not a hard grader, gives you rubrics every time, take her no doubt

Pretty easy to get an A. Very nice lady who seems to care about you as a student and as a person. Easy to talk to outside of class to get help. Lots of group work. Assigns books to read but as long as you know the just of what happens in them, you'll be fine. I'd definitely recommend her for GST.

Prof. Cox is the best!!! She is a great teacher so when it comes time to study for the tests you don't have much studying to do. She is super helpful during office hours and makes her class a ton of fun. Her enthusiasm is awesome. TAKE HER CLASS!

I had her for Global, and that was my favorite class last semester! She is so sweet with a strong southern accent. I got an A on every assignment except for one, which was a B. And this includes essays, quizzes, and homework. She does a lot of group projects, which is so much fun depending on your group. I recommend this class to EVERYONE!

Very nice lady very approachable and very understanding about late work. DO your work on time but if you have a LEGIT excuse it won't be to big of a deal. A lot of work but grades very easily. My lowest grade was a C and the rest were A's. So one C is no big deal!!! TAKE HER FOR GST YOU WONT REGRET IT!!!

Professor Cox is the nicest professor I have ever had! Handed out As but sometimes threw a curveball C or D. She gives a lot of group work and projects, but she does not usually grade them too hard. She's very approachable and understanding about late work or an assignment that you want to redo.

Great teacher, super nice. Sets expectations and has perfect clarity for assignments. Will have homework and will have to study but not a hard class by any means. If you're motivated and know what you're doing then you are fine. Much better than other accounting teachers

Comment:

She's really nice, but she's teaching concepts that aren't easy for everyone. Go to class. Take decent notes and try to keep up with what she does in excel. She is very approachable and really helpful if you talk to her outside of class. I'd take her again. Nice Southern accent.
