Comment:
The man seems to spend more than half the class talking about all his accomplishments and strengths as a professor and then spend 20% of the remaining time on the actual material. Good luck if you take him. Oh and he expects you to be on time too, late penalties do exist with him.

I believe I'm an average student. If you are averagge like me then this could most likely relate. Caskey is a great guy, but he moves fast in his lectures. I found my self teaching myself the material at the end. His tests are difficult but are almost identical to the practice test and homework he hands out. I highly recommened studying from them.

Comment:
The first day of class Caskey told the Marketing majors "it's a fun major but good luck finding a job". He bikes to class every day even in the snow so he believes that if he makes it here no one has an excuse to not come due to weather. He is extremely obnoxious and does not stay on track. He does not explain things clearly and does not care.

Caskey is a funny guy, but flies through the material. Every class you learn a new topic or build on a previous one. Tests are extremely difficult, but he is generous with partial credit, and you can vote on the format of the exam. ALWAYS VOTE FOR ALL SHORT ANSWER QUESTIONS BC MC ARE ACTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE. HW is also assigned every week.

Not the best teacher at explaining things. He is difficult to follow and The first two exams are hard. Try to go to student assistance for help because they help out and you understand more from them.

Professor Caskey is someone who tries to work with struggling students and although quirky, does care. However, his expectations on quizes/exams are unclear at best and he will use different terms from the lectures & hw b/c "you won't get a roadmap in life, why should you get one for the exam." Very frustrating if math is not your forte.

You can definitely manage to do decent in his class but he doesn't to a good job at teaching. His lectures are boring and full of unuseful information. Also, his tests are almost impossible to finish on time. And he can be stuck up when you need help

I had him for Entrepreneurship and Business planning and he was very enjoyable. I rated a bit low, because I could totally see why his style would not work well in Stats/Ops Management course. If you're new to stats it's best to avoid him for the quant courses.

He doesn't not understand how to teach stat at all because he just talks about stuff that's irrelevant to the class. Many times he doesn't even clarify how to do the homework. Worst professor ever!!!!!!!!

Caskey is a good person to go have a drink and a laugh with. He belongs no where near a classroom teaching students. He makes his coursework very difficult and he tells you more about working at Boeing then the class material. Would not recommend taking him.

DON'T TAKE HIM! Lectures are disorganized and he talks more about himself than the actual material. Lectures and homework are nothing like the tests (which are worth more than half your grade) and is somehow surprised that people are complaining(?!) He's very smart but can't teach. Thinks everyone is the same level with statistics as him. AVOID!

I took him for BDSS. You need to study for class, but in college you should expect that. He gives you a full week to do the hw after assigning it so you can ask questions in class and he'll do it on the board. There were only 3 tests and one project for the class. The final was just like the first two tests and he lets you vote for the format.

HW is due once a week, and the other class that week is used to address any possible questions on it. He really responds to feedback. The class isn't hard, he just treats it like a two way street. If you have problems with material you have to bring it up yourself and he gives more than enough time to do that in lecture. Be ready for dry humor

I believe Prof. Caskey will give you a glimpse of what Corporate America is all about. If you are a female, picture your future boss, a chauvinistic male. If you are a male, then feel comfortable, you'll learn how to climb the corporate ladder easily...

Ops management with him is very laid back, the curriculum isn't too difficult but enough to be challenging. Classes engaged my interest, hw was due every other class, and if any extra help was needed he is very helpful during office hours as well as in class and there is tutoring and review sessions before every test. Sample test were helpful too

He is obsessed with his accomplishments and thinks everyone is on his level on statistics. If you don't plan on visiting a tutor every week, you will fail the class. Class averages don't go above 55 and the tests are nothing like the homework. Professors like him are what discourage students. Never had a professor as bad him. AVOID HIM!

Definitely my favorite class and my favorite professor. Very clear and direct when teaching, and is very helpful both in class and after class. Answers any and all questions and asks the students for their feedback on his performance multiple times throughout the semester.

The class was very laid back and disorganized. Professor Caskey, although a terrific educator, has a habit of getting off topic. Many times, the subject material we covered was irrelevant. There aren't any tests in this course except for a final exam essay. I did not like the lack of structure in the this class. The grading was not explained.
