Comment:

One of the best CRJ professors I've had so far. I re- took this class after getting a C the first time around. Not only did I get an A but I came out learning a lot which helped to make any CRJ class I took later a lot easier. Professor Owens knows his stuff and you will come out learning your stuff too. Great professor.

By far one of my favorite professors at OCC. He's smart,easygoing, and tries to make classes interesting by telling stories related to criminal justice, based on his time as a detective with the Syracuse Police. Class is easy if you attend regularly, pay attention, and read the text. Take at least one of his classes, its a great experience.

I cant believe he got any bad reviews- most laid back teacher Ive ever had! I took criminal law with him (Im not even a crj major. took this class bc I had an elective) Classes were ALWAYS let out early. He gave a study sheet and the tests were pretty much identical. EASY and kinda interesting!

Very Strict papers must be perfectly formatted down to the paper clip. His review sheets are not helpful for the tests as they include things that may or may not be on the tests and you will also find quest on tests which the material wasn't covered and may be a small detail frm BK. Basically if you want an A you really have to work for it.

One of the best professors I have ever had. Very intelligent and wise, I still go to him for advice. He is very particular but he gets you ready for a career in criminal justice where they are much more strict, so it's all for a reason. very passionate about criminology, and has plenty of experience in the workforce to draw on.
