I took Scordato for both 1L Torts and 3L Agency. Scordato did an exceptional job of illustrating the histories, as well as the ethical/political/commercial dimensions, of the subjects of study. Of course he didn't just recite elements. He was training lawyers.

Torts is easy I learned everything during the reading period no help to Scordato. His lectures were boring and he drew pointless things on the white board. There are simple elements for each tort but he goes off on a rambling session every class. May be funny and nice but not what you want in a law professor. I am surprised he is a dean as well.

I had Scordato at Maryland for Torts and Corporations. The guy is a genius. He's also humble, nice, and funny. A fantastic teacher. As long as you pay close attention in class, you?ll do well. He seriously cares about your learning the subject and learning legal analysis generally. Best Prof. at UMD by far.

This man is fantastic. He's a great teacher and interesting to listen to for two hours. He's brilliant, but also nice, and funny. A genius teacher. He seriously cares about your deeply understanding torts, and law generally.

Scordato is an interesting and energetic lecturer. However, his post-exam behavior was arrogant and lazy. He wrote a form email stating how he believed that any discussion going over the exam with him would be useless. This same email went out to students who got an A and those who got a B- and everyone in between.

What a great course - and a great professor. He teaches you torts inside and out and also teaches you about the law in general. Pay attention and you will come away knowing an enormous amount. There are none better.

The best course at CUA Law. Not just doctrinal, but also analytical and policy-based and practical and just plain brilliant. Something new and interesting and thought-provoking nearly every class session. Will not pander or over-simplify or (like so many others) constantly assure you that the material and the test will be accessible and easy.

Professor Scordato is great teacher. He assigns very little reading. Instead, he uses a great number of hypotheticals, which you can cite on his exam. This professor makes torts fun! Imagine that, a fun 1L course?

Awesome professor!! One of the best I'd had so far. He not only teaches you Torts, but he teaches you how to argue effectively. He makes things very entertaining with all his hypos and stories. Hardly any reading for this class. Very energetic. Take his class!

Awesome professor - knows his stuff and isn't a jerk about it. This class is GREAT for slacker 3rd years because there is no homework and you retain a lot of it for the bar.

By far one of the best professors I've had at Catholic. He keeps you interested in the subject matter and for me that is usually the biggest battle with law school. Although we only covered a few torts, we covered elements common to most torts in great depth. As a result, one can easily teach themselves the remaining torts for the bar exam.

I am in the minority, but I found his class excrutiatingly boring. The pace of the class was slow and we covered about 3 torts. He is a very nice guy though. And the final is one of the fairest I've taken.

Definitely take whatever classes he teaches. He really knows how to teach and clearly loves doing it. The homemade text book is a pain to carry around but worth it -- really zeros in on what matters.

Great teacher with a fair final. Only complaint was that he made his own textbook from photocopied articles and cases. It was cumbersome and most of the information was unnecessary. Definitely take him.
