Professor Corbett is a good professor and she likes Psychology but one of the thinks that I don't like about her are : To begin with her introduction WAY TOO LONG, she tells you all her life. She sends you long EMAILS. She is a hard grader and would not give you an A . She is intense , would not take her again

I took INTRO to PSYC online, and she was nice. Her emails were like essays and her tests were pretty easy if you studied from quizlet. A forum every week; if you included a text citation and clear way it related easy A. She gave two homeworks and one extra credit both were easy but just time consuming

Comment:

She cares a lot for her students and tries to never offend anyone. She sends out a lot of emails to try to clarify homework or essay assignments. Her tests are kind of hard, and not based on memorization of terms. You must fully understand the subject and be able to apply it to do well on tests. She also gives take home essays. Over all, great!

Comment:

Professor Corbett has to be one of the best professors I have EVER had! She is personable, and cares more than most people seem to realize. She is so dedicated to her students. No doubt her class is hard - but what is college for? I will always value what I have learned from her class - in years to come, easy A's wont get you anywhere!

I did learn a lot from this class, however the work load was far too much. Lectures offered nothing more than if I read the book. She is condescendingly intrusive, crosses boundaries though I really think she doesnt get this. If she would use her knowledge and experience together with book, course would be better. Got a B but deserved an A.

This Teacher was Exccellent she showed alot of care to what she taught. she loved what she was showing her students. She tried to get us to realte to the material so we should absorb what were were learning. I liked her alot.

She is alright, I can totally understand where some raters are coming from. She can sometimes come across as sarcastic or Harsh but she does care. I'm not sure if I would take a class of hers again. REQUIRES A LOT OF WORK!!! I suggest her class if you are a psychology major! Otherwise, you might wanna try Professor Dana Nelson, a lot easier!

took intro and abnormal with her. i didn't know anything about psych and got an A or B on all my assignments and tests. I felt she did a good job teaching me because of this, but I can totally understand why some students didn't like her. Lot of homework

I completely agree with the person below me. Same situation as me. She is not very personal and her tone is rather belittling. However, she is a pretty nice woman. I have not had any other psychology teachers so I am sorry to say that I can not recommend any one else instead. Try hard and you should pass.

online class, i felt her requirements were unreasonable,she didn't make the material interesting at all. 3 1/2 hr test (192 questions). I Emailed her with a few questions and i got the feeling her answers were sarcastic and condescending. BTW I am an Honors student, never got a grade under an A.

I took Professor Corbett for an online class and there were a number of assignments due since it was the summer, but she was always great at getting grades back and giving constructive criticism. I learned a lot and it was a great class since everyone needed to participate!

She was horrible. You can't understand what she is talking about and when you try to ask her for help she tells you to go buy the study guide. DO NOT take this teacher. kids switched out of this class. we started with like 50 and ended with 20. Going to this class is such a struggle for me!!! ahh

She is the worst professor that I have taken here. She is so un clear, and doesn't give deserving grades, i came on here just to tell other people that so they do not take her. I wish i didn't. This professor is the worst I have had at Raritan. I even saw her make a student cry. I'm sure the expectations would be possible if she would just tell you what they were. Very unclear. Went from straight A's to a C-. Oh well.

She was a really good teacher. She always asks the classes opinion and involves her students in many ways. Her tests are difficult but you can get good grades on them. If you suck at tests, she has other ways to get her grades. She was very clear and I think she is the best psych teacher I have had up to this point in college.
