She is extremely nitpicky . Very passive aggressive in comments on assignments, and it seems impossible to get an A on her assignments. Grades on a 7 point scale, and along with her extremely difficult, nitpicky grading, it is very difficult to get an A in her class.

I took the RELS-S252-WA1 Catholicism course online because it was an 8-week course on something I grew up learning about. I am currently on week 3 and have had to resubmit assignments multiple times because they are not up to par in her grading style. She outlines how she grades at the beginning but does not mention that she nitpicks everything.

Okay, she's a nice lady. Her first two tests are near impossible, however she gets much easier as the course goes on. She is very liberal. It starts to get very annoying because she rambles on and on about politics, which I feel is a tad unprofessional.

She's a nice teacher. Her first two tests are really really hard. Shes very opinionated which really starts to get on you if you lack self control.Shes extremely knowledgeable about the topic. She gives insane amounts of extra credit though out the course for pretty much just not skipping class, so dont. Her take home and open book test take 3 hour

I've had Professor Halter while she was teaching in Arkansas for a semester because of the hurricane. The class is supposed to be a discussion style, but she lectures the entire time. That is my only complaint. Other than that, she has been helpful at explaining the material and helping me know what to improve in my writing to get an A.

Professor Halter takes an easy-going approach to understanding world religions. She keeps variety in her teaching style, including film, slides, objects and comparison/contrast examples in her lectures. Her humor keeps the subject light, which is important especially since this is a night class!

Comment:

Shes really excited about what she is teaching, so it makes it a lot easier to learn. Class is actually pretty interesting. Tests are hard but there not worth many points compared to many other easier projects. I'm taking her again next semester. Interesting and good prof.

Professor Halter's class is very laid back and interesting. She doesn't give a lot of assignments, therefore they count a lot. Her tests require critical thinking and overall good understanding. She's humorous and it's fun to watch her draw on the board.
