I took his online Intro to SOCI course and would definitely take him again. He had videos and lectures that included written outlines. Short essay assignments, discussion boards and two computerized multiple choice exams. Make sure you read the book. He is extremely helpful. I loved this class!

Seriously one of the best teachers ive had! he is great at explaining rather dated concepts with real life examples and humor. and he is genuinely interested in what students say. class discussion happens naturally with him and is enjoyable. and yeah...he is extremely handsom

This class is the only one of his SOCI classes that is the hardest. It is taught at a graduate school level. It was a lot readings. The paper and the exams were difficult and it's only worth it if you need a SOCI elective but not as a general elective

It's interesting that a couple of negative comments were for 416. That was a Gender and Law class and it changed my life. Best class I've taken. But I can see that it may not be for everyone.

I had this professor for several classes from 2001-2002. He went under the name Marcus Mahmood back then. He is/was EXTREMELY difficult to understand while lecturing (he talked fast and has/had an strong accent) He covers ALOT OF MATERIAL IN A SHORT TIME!! His exams were 30% readings and 70% lecture...Grueling ESSAY formats. Really nice guy tho!

He is a hard grader. Difficult to understand (he speaks softly). The content is interesting but his lectures are not engaging.

I absolutely would not recommend this professor to anybody. I dreaded coming to this class everyday because it was so boring. The content of the material was somewhat interesting but the readings were to long and Professor Kondkar at times was hard for me to understand. Don't waste your time unless you're passionate about the subject. I hated it.

The class was really interesting and Kondkar is really nice but sometimes he trails off on different subjects and doesn't return to the old ones! You have to read the articles and know them pretty well for the test. I managed a B in his class, but it was kind of a close call.

Very nice guy. It's funny to see how many people comment on his looks. lol. I took his class in 2002, when he went by the name of "Marcus Mahmood". I thought it was going to be a boring class, but he made it very interesting. I skimmed through the readings but took great notes in class. Got an A in his class just from doing that.

Amazing professor. Took him for Social Problems and Dev. of Social Thought. Really does a great job of explaining the material in a way that's understandable, especially when it comes to theory. Makes you do a lot of reading, but if you're interested in the class it's no problem. Plus, he's gorgeous. Would definitely recommend him to anyone.

Had him two semester in a row for soc A345 and X132. He's very demanding on his exams, and although there is no textbook he hands out tons of reading and you must do it all to get a decent grade. However, it's not difficult to pay attention to his lectures because he is incredibly hot! You will learn a ton & I def. recommend him!

Yes, he's hot. However, his social problems class is extreemly hard. There is a lot of reading (which in order to pass you MUST do) and his lectures can be confusing. His tests are EXTREEMLY hard, and he's an extreemly hard grader, VERY picky, interesting class but very hard to get a good grade!

This professor lectures the main points of a topic in class in a very clear manner. His exams are lengthy and one needs to remember everything in class to do well on the exam-lengthy notes. For exams fill up all of the blank space available and you'll do fine.

I actually have taken him for two classes (Social Problems and Social Thought) and I must be honest. The reviews here say he isnt hard but that is false. His tests are difficult and test specific understanding. You may understand the topic and still get a C on the test. Your grade is his disgression. No definitive answers! Not a blow off course!
