Comment:

She's tough but she means well. Not only is she teaching you educational material but she teaches life skills too. Deadlines matter and in the real world if you don't turn something on time you can loose your job. It's better to get a bad grade now than get fired later. Yes, it's hard material, but it's law so what do you expect?

Comment:

Lots of reading for this class. Tests are long. She is very strict when it comes to due dates and being on time. It tends to feel like she is talking down to you if you ask a question or ask for help so a lot of students, including myself, avoided it. On a positive note, she is very passionate about what she is teaching.

High expectations. Most of the assignments can be done with minimal reading, but expect to lose test points. She will say that work isn't late until she collects it but she actually means until class starts.

She was more difficult to work with this year than in the past. She seemed pickier than normal. Her essay questions were worth a lot on tests, and if you forgot one thing, it was automatically 3/4 wrong

There is a lot of reading to do, and the content can be difficult to learn. Please read and attend classes. You're doing yourself a huge favor when it comes to test taking time. She's incredibly strict about late work, but she will work with you if you have documented reasoning as to why something is late. Overall, it wasn't so bad.

Kukowski is very entertaining to listen to. The information she teaches is hard but she makes it very interesting to learn. She gives homework once a week and has ZERO tolerance for turning things in late. Her tests are very long but if you read from the book and go to class you will do just fine. She wants to make you as professional as you can be

There is a lot of reading for this class. The best thing to do is read the material assignment before going to class. If you don't understand something, ask her because she will help you. The test can be long, but everything on the test is material covered in class and in the material in the readings.

This course is very challenging. Professor Kukowski will offer help if you ask for it, but I know many, including myself, avoided it because we often felt like she was talking down to us. She is very strict on time when it comes to assignments. 30 seconds is late. BE EARLY.

Prof. Kukowski is awesome!She is a fantastic teacher and her lessons are never boring. Sure she can be strict with homework, but deadlines are important in the paralegal field. She is always willing to help you if you have questions on anything. Very informative Prof and gives good examples during class. All around easy to talk to!

MSUM needs to look for a professor who is a techer first, and not a lawyer first. We are spending money, time. Professor does not put an effort for students to pass class. She needs to give extra credits to students so they can pass class. MSUM is getting BAD reputation because of her!

Professor Kukowski is definitely a difficult professor. She expects a lot from her students but she's an excellent professor. She's VERY strict on due dates and being on time but that's part of being a paralegal which is what she's teaching us. She's very helpful and very knowledgeable about what she's teaching.

Despite other comments she is a great teacher. I started out hating her guts and left with a great knowledge of Government Benefits for Social Work Majors. I'm glad that she is teaching this class because she puts so much energy in to doing it right!

Comment:

Yes, you must take this class in order to gain your SW degree. And yes, she does put alot of work on the student; but it's well worth it!! Prof. Kukowski is more than fair. I received a "C" in this class but I feel like I can really do a competent job now!!!

SHE CRAMS TOO MUCH INFO AT ONE TIME. SHE IS NOT ENCOURAGING AT ALL. IT'S ALMOST LIKE SHE IS WANTING YOU TO FAIL. NOT A VERY GOOD TEACHER. SHE NEEDS TO BE IN THE COURTROOM, NOT A CLASSROOM
