Comment:

I don't even know where to begin. This professor took a 75 minute lecture and would ramble on for the first hour about nothing and then take the last 15 minutes to teach. She would always go 5-10 minutes over her allowed time. Attendance is not necessary since the class was only made up of 3 essay tests. Not hard to pass but would not recommend

Class is graded only on 3 quizzes and a midterm/ final. All are online, but the midterm and final are 3 essays each. You won't need the book for class at all but it is helpful for the assignments. Lectures have nothing to do with the assigned reading. takes attendance but never uses it for anything. avoid if possible.

Comment:

Professor Brown-Foster is the worst professor that Central Connecticut State University has on campus. Her teaching style includes lectures with some powerpoints mixed in, but she will consistently stray to off topic conversation during her lectures and then cram in a one hour lecture into the final fifteen minutes of class.

I made a account specifically to warn everyone about this professor. She was absolutely the worst educator I have ever come across. Makes absolutely no sense and goes off topic every 3 seconds, then realizes she has 10 minutes left and rambles a hour lecture into 10 minutes. Every comment on here saying she was a good professor is probably her.

Don't take a single class with her if you can avoid it. She rambles about her own views all class and admits that we are always behind (on chapter 3 or 4 in class but supposed to be on 20 per the syllabus). If you are looking to actually learn and gain from a class, this is the wrong one for you. Projects have no rubric or clear prompt. Good luck.

Her lectures are useless. She rambles for hours on end about the same thing week to week. There's no organization when it comes to class and she rarely follows the syllabus. Avoid at all costs, she's the worst professor I've ever had.

Awful professor. Rambles for the full lecture and does not teach or have any supplemental materials in class. Patronising and unhelpful, also very condescending when communicating through email. Information she teaches (e.g England is often wrong). By far the worst professor I have ever had- I cannot stress highly enough to not take this professor

If you miss the first exam you WILL not pass this class. The quizzes and exams are online and time locked. Information is all in the textbook. She requires attendance but doesn't talk to the material (at all). She will tell you in the beginning to do your readings because she won't cover every topic (she just babbles) . Extra credit opportunities.

Her teaching skills are poor because she lectures on what she really desires; however, she does not care about the students struggling points which in my is horrendous. I advise anybody that might want to take her up to find a different professor. Heavy on the reading. No homework, but the midterm and Final are both three essays each which is bad.

If you're in this class. DROP NOW. She has strict political views and lectures every class on topics that will not help you on quizzes/tests. She also doesn't review any readings. You are expected to teach yourself an entire textbook or two for the class. Quizzes are unorganized and frankly impossible. Essays are outrageous. 3 due in a week. Drop!!

Please do not ever take a class with this woman if you want to survive your semester. Her lectures have NOTHING to do with the book & her quizzes and essay exams have outrageous expectations. She lectures on what she feels like and you have to teach yourself the material and hope to God that what you taught yourself is what she decides to quiz on.

Currently sitting in her class while she rambles on. This woman really assigned three essays and theyre due in a week. Im teaching myself this class, Im not taking this class. Its super frustrating. At first, it was an okay class but now its getting more and more ridiculous as the semester goes on.

Nice lady, but horrible lectures. Nothing she rambles about makes sense, pertains to the readings, or what you need to know for the quizzes/essays. Only has 4 graded assignments for the whole semester. If you ask a question, she will ramble for 5 minutes and you won't get a clear answer. Avoid taking this class with her. She denies anything on here

I took her this past semester and i dont understand all of these negative reviews. I didn't buy the book and was fine throughout the semester using only the power points. She does ramble on sometimes, making it difficult to take notes, but everything is in the power points anyways. Although there are only 4 assignments, she is an easy grader.

I don't recommend this class. The only reason I didn't fail is because the quizzes/tests are online and open book. You can't even take notes because she rambles on about useless stuff during lectures. Goes off on tangents constantly. She also goes over the lecture time EVERY CLASS and gets mad if you leave when class time is up.

She's very nice. Doesn't lecture well at all. She makes you read basically the whole text book and then will vaguely discuss what you read in class, and goes on irrelevant tangents. Easy grader though, make sure you do the online quizzes with a partner to get a good grade.

DONT NOT TAKE HER IF YOU DONT HAVE TOO! She assigns 4 textbooks for the class but you only need one ( American Conduct of Foreign Policy). It might seem easy in the beginning but after midterms she assigns 2 discussion questions, a 12 page paper, and a heavy duty presentation. She rambles about Trump and exbits bias. Not even worth going to class.
