Dr. King is an amazing teacher. He has a way to make you interested in the class, even if you don't care about English Literature. He is not extremely easy, but if you put in good work, you will be rewarded. Loved this class, and would take again! You do not need the textbook for this class, because you can find almost all readings online.

He's the coolest guy I've ever met. He knows everything about CS Lewis and wears converse everyday. He doesn't know what temporary tattoos are, but that's cool. He is the greatest professor I've had so far, he's pretty much one of the biggest reasons I came to Montreat. You'll wish he was your dad.

16 years later, most influential Prof ever. Demands all, gives all, does not suffer fools. Very knowledgeable, hardest class available....anywhere, but only challenging class I ever took before or since BA Graduation. STILL researching many novels covered, trying to write that FIRST novel with a Christ like main character. Been trying 16 yrs!

Best Class and Teacher I ever had. Up til sr year and this class, never bought books nor studied, rarely showed up. Missed 1 class, almost failed 1st test. Treats class like adults. Hardest and most rewarding class ever. Would take again and again. This is that rare, life altering Professor. Miss class at your peril. Best Prof ever.

Good teacher over all, but always seems a little burnt out with the whole teaching thing. Truly loves the subjects he teaches though. I think he would be much happier locked away in a library somewhere doing research than teaching students. A good teacher if you're willing to devote the energy. You're probably not going to get any energy out of him.

Hard are far as papers go, expects alot out of his students. Overall a great proffessor, not one to take if you want to get off easy but rather if you want to leanr something he is a great guy to listen to. You will leave his class feeling smarter.
