Thank you for your communication systems videos on YouTube. I have shared your videos with fellow students in a digital communications class. Unfortunately not all professors are created alike. You obviously strive to inspire students and care about their retention of class material. Thank you again.

Great lecturer and really is motivated but his tests are hard!!!! The tests are hard on purpose, you actually have to struggle and think BUT everyone is in the same boat. The grading on the tests are very generous. I would definitely suggest this class to anyone. P.S-- I'm not a 4.0 student

The professor is great a conveying key concepts I feel I will carry moving forward. The tests are very conceptual and difficult for many, however, he grades leniently. I would recommend him for anyone who really wants to learn the conceptual aspects of communication systems.

Favorite professor of all time. Great guy, and really cares about you as a person. He is actually your friend. Grab a beer with the guy, you'll learn more than you thought possible. Try hard, because this isn't a memorization class, it's an understanding class. This class is hard, but very rewarding. Good luck!

He's very kind, and he really wants to help you learn the CONCEPTS. Just ask him. Grades are from tests: 30%, 30%, 40%. He does give out homework, and obviously it's not graded, but he will put one homework question for each test. Essentially, 30% of your grade is from the homework, so make sure to do it for practice and learn the CONCEPTS!

Good at teaching. Harsh exam, no TA. If you want to survive, ,choose another professor. The hardest course I had in my life. Overall, I like it.

Great teacher. Probably my favorite at UTD. He is not easy, however. His exams are very conceptual and require you to actually understand the material (vs some classes, where you can just memorize things). He's an extremely smart guy and is obviously passionate about teaching. Grading scheme = Exam1: 30%, Exam2: 30%, Final Exam: 40%.

Great teacher, hard tests, fair grading. If you can't handle that what are you doing in electrical engineering? Reading the other comments on this prof it is clear a lot of people are in engineering who have no business being in it. Engineering isn't supposed to be easy.

The was the only class that I failed in my Undergrad career. I should have listened... He can't teach, period. Don't be fooled by his fake smile, he will give you an F in a heart beat. Deviates off to talk about subjects barely related to the course and give design problems in finals to screw you over. DO NOT TAKE HIM, YOU WILL REGRET IT FOREVER.

Useless professor. Unclear during lectures. Makes mistakes on exams and expects students to catch mistakes and work them correctly regardless. Impossible to argue grade with this guy. Steer clear

After the first test,he said he would go far from the book and teach based on his experience as an eng.I doubt if he even knows what he experienced. He makes the class a mess, he is a mess.Bad grading, and when you show him his mistakes, his respo. is 'well I was careful grading it, there is no guarantee if you get this much back' bad man, bad attitud

Class of >20 ppl ended w/ 3 of us at final exam! He left 3 weeks before end of semester, when projects, homework, exams due. No answer to calls or email. His teaching assistant gave the final exam. Grad-level class, but no concern for students.
