He's definitely my favourite professor of all time! He made me decide to go for chemical engineering and his background experience in chemical engineering is admirable. Will definitely miss his class a lot when I go to UP.

Definitely the best chem teacher I have had by far! He loves to teach and wants you to do well and learn the material. He makes jokes and adds humor to his lectures, which makes awful material go by a little easier.

definitely the best teacher I have ever had. I had him for 111,112,210,and 212. for 210,212 and 112 use the book. do practice problems from each chapter and go to his office hours about the things you dont understand. he is very helpful especially if you show him that you care. class attendance is mandatory. for 111 dont POLI!(will be explained)

Dr Bittner is the most amazing teacher I've ever had. I dont have anymore Chem classes but I still constantly wish I did. Learnt alot from his class, just study all the material he gives and listen in class and youre good. And he's always ready to help if you show seriousness.

Comment:

Chem 110 with Bittner was an enjoyable experience. He assigns homework every few weeks and tests come from both the homework and lectures. The exams can be pretty tough, but if you attend lectures,study and even go to the optional reviews you should be fine. He's a great guy and is very funny. Learned a lot and enjoyed class.

I took both my chem 110 and 112 classes with Bittner. He is by far the best professor I've had for science courses, and I wish I could continue to take his classes when I change campus. If you do the homework and pay attention in class, you're sure to do well! He tries to make the material more interesting and the class is usually very fun!

Dr. Bittner is simply the greatest professor I have ever had!! I wish everyone who needs to take any chemistry could have him as a teacher! He loves what he does and will make sure that you understand everything! You do your work and study and you'll LOVE his classes!. (Hotness because he asked!! haha. Yes he does read these!) i had him for every chem session on the campus. the man truly cares about the students. he will go to great lengths to help the students and he will change his own schedule to make time for them. his tests are a little difficult but he is a more than fair grader.

Also took 110 + 112 w/ him. Great lecturer, goes over difficult concepts more than once and quizzes students while doing it to make sure people are understanding the material (some people don't like this but I think its a good idea). Organic Chem is a hard class but if you put forth the effort you can easily get an A on any of the exams.

Ouch. This class was pretty much impossible. You put all of your time into it and you still do horrible. Don't take this unless you absolutely have to. Bittner is incredibly nice and funny, but this class is bad.

He considers 90% an A for the class. Do your homework, it does help when you are close and he will give you the better grade. Tests are reasonable if you study. The final was tough, but it ends up getting curved a lot.
