Comment:

Professor Bortman is the best professor for BLAW. In comparison to other professors, he has realistic expectations of a students work. He is very funny and makes discussions engaging and relaxed. You don't necessarily have to do the readings because every exam will be take home. In addition, all you will do is weekly reading journals.

He is very boring. However, his exams are easy. Preparing for the class is really easy too. If you want to learn law you might have to teach yourself, but as for getting your core requirements out of the way, Bortman is your best bet.

Make sure you show up to class the first few weeks and participate. From then on, you're pretty much straight. His take home tests are really easy and the quizzes are a joke. Nice guy, easy to like and doesn't screw you over on grades.
